KOULTAS KING carries a winner's penalty in this novice event having scored in a Ffos Las maiden recently and Tim Vaughan's charge can go from strength to strength. The six-year-old had been shaping with plenty of promise in handicaps at Bangor and Newbury in the spring and looks the one they've got to beat. Mighty Snazy boasts a rating of 110 and should be able to make his presence felt if in a similar mood as when third at Sedgefield latest, while the unexposed Moon Trip is also noted.

BRIMHAM BOY hinted at a return to his best form when second at Newton Abbot last time out and the C&D winner can go one better. While not getting any younger at the age of 11, the Minster Son gelding exploited a 3lb higher mark here back in May 2010 and was similarly impressive when exploiting the same mark at Hereford in May last year. Neverownup has threatened a big run in recent outings and he's shortlisted along with Morestead.

WEST BRIT represents the in-form Charlie Longsdon/Noel Fehily combination and has been eased 2lb for what wasn't a bad performance at Newton Abbot in July. The son of High Chaparral won the Scottish Triumph Hurdle in February last year and should be able to land a blow if recapturing anything like that sort of form. Odin is pitched back into the handicap ranks following a good Market Rasen effort nine days ago, though course runner-up Tiny Tenor is feared most.

WALTER WHITE looked a hurdler going places in similar juvenile events at Newton Abbot last month and Philip Hobbs' charge can complete the hat-trick here. The ex-Andrew Balding inmate really has the bit between his teeth at present and with underfoot conditions again in his favour, another big performance looks assured. Hanga Roa remains an unexposed quantity, though, and he'll ensure the selection doesn't get things all his own way, while Kitchapoly also comes into the reckoning.

CAP ELORN's 5lb rise for scoring at Worcester looks fair and, impressive in completing a quick-fire double at the Midlands venue on that occasion, he's hard to oppose in this select field. Ground conditions look to be in his favour and while he can't boast the C&D-winning form of Chilbury Hill and Lauberhorn, he's the one to beat in search of the hat-trick. Tim Vaughan's inmate regained some confidence in a seller last time, while Even Williams' charge is holding his form well.

Nicky Nutjob shoulders top weight for this assignment following his win off a 4lb lower mark at Fontwell 11 days ago and he's considered a player. Preference is for FITOBUST, however, who was most impressive when exploiting an 8lb lower mark over C&D a fortnight ago. He'll be thereabouts under a similar weight if able to reproduce that level of form, while veteran hurdler Go Amwell can also make his presence felt at the business end.

17:10 Huntingdon (Class 6) (4YO to 6YO)

For all HANDMAID is forced to shoulder a winner's penalty for scoring at Worcester last time out, she benefits from a 7lb weight-for-sex allowance and therefore shoulders the same weight as the boys. With more improvement expected at this stage, the daughter of King's Theatre is well worth another look. Western Way is feared most sporting the first-time blinkers and has shown enough in three starts to suggest a bumper of this nature is within his grasp, while Private Jones completes the shortlist.
