Verdict

Alice's Smart failed to stay a mile on her last visit here and merits consideration now dropping back to sprint distances but preference is for STORMY LIAISON, a winner over an extended 5f at Fair Grounds when last sighted in March. Quite Explosive and Just Pick Me are others to consider.

Verdict

A LITTLE GRAND is holding his form well over C&D and hinted his turn was near when finishing a head second last month. A reproduction of that effort would probably suffice here. Gritty is a model of consistency and can give the selection most to think about now dropped back from 6f. Salted Cloud and Leather Laces make most appeal of the remainder.

Verdict

LADY OF RIVENDELL appeared to benefit from the step up to this trip when runner-up at Churchill Downs last month and, with further improvement likely to be forthcoming, can go one better tonight. Lemoneque usually gives her running and looks to have solid place prospects but a bigger threat may be Don't Tell Sophia, who is entitled to improve upon a promising debut third at Keeneland in October.

Verdict

A step back to 6f will be ideal for SIR DAKOTA who didn't appear to get home over a mile here on his last outing. Leading in the straight, he emptied close home and was headed late on, but this trip will most certainly suit. Arroson is returning to form and is worth keeping on side while Spurtability appeals most of the others.

Verdict

CROWN'S BIG DAY appeared to get outpaced here earlier this month but was eased when defeat looked a formality. A change of fortune here and more prominent tactics will give the five-year-old every chance of bouncing back at the first time of asking. Despite stepping up in class from claiming company, it might be worth giving ASTAIRE a chance as the seven-year-old bids to land the hat-trick. Jemaru arrives here in good spirits and fresh from a C&D success earlier this month while Bullnose Brick is worth a place on the shortlist.
