ROAYH was no match for Fire Ship on soft ground at Windsor over this trip the last day but he beat the rest comfortably off his turf mark of 84 and is given another chance now switched to the all-weather off 80. The son of Speightstown dead-heated in a conditions event here over 7f as a juvenile, so he shouldn't be inconvenienced by the surface and looks well handicapped under 3lb claimer Antioco Murgia. Paphos is another to take seriously on the back of his distance win at Lingfield last month, while Forgive is threatening to win and cannot be dismissed.

Watch out for: Paphos (8)

Paphos has been in good heart of late, winning on turf last time. With eyeshields fitted again and returning to polytrack, he gets the vote. Forgive should go very well if handling the surface, whilst Roayh is attractively weighted now back on polytrack.

CONCISE can benefit from her debut experience and, while pitched against the boys in this maiden, she caught the eye when staying on for third at Lingfield over 7f so this step up to 1m should bring about some improvement. The booking of William Buick suggests she's come out of that race in good heart and Ed Dunlop's 155,000gns purchase can open her account. Team Godolphin are typically well represented but while jockey bookings may suggest Ostaad arrives holding their best chance, the market may suggest otherwise and Pentagram and Tally Stick are not to be overlooked. Omnipresent is also of interest.

Inka Surprise may just improve again for this switch to the all-weather surface but NOBLE DEED left a lasting impression when third in front of Ralph Beckett's charge (fourth) at HQ last month and those placings should be confirmed with Liam Jones' mount entitled to improve for that debut experience. Gravitational is also respected on the back of a decent run behind Titled Gent at Wolverhampton latest, while Desert Command and East Texas Red can also make the frame.

Watch out for: Inka Surprise (7)

Meet Me Halfway has improved markedly since making the transition to the all-weather surface last month and she comes into the reckoning off this 6lb higher mark following a cosy Wolverhampton success last time. PALLADIUS gets the vote, however, with an improved Beverley performance in July suggesting that this step up to 6f would help. She makes her handicap bow off what looks a workable mark of 65 but keep an eye on Wellingrove, who is knocking on the door.

Vasily could run a big race at a nice price on his first start on the all-weather surface over this reduced trip but TRADER JACK makes most appeal for Roger Charlton and his Fair Trade colt goes to post 2lb well in at the weights. He put in a career best effort at Goodwood in a competitive handicap affair over 1m2f last time out, when behind only Blue Surf, and a repeat of that under nice weight might be good enough. Position rates pick of the remainder.

Watch out for: Vasily (3)

A competitive event, and the 3-y-os hold a strong hand in particular, chiefly Trader Jack, Nicholascopernicus and Position, who are all going the right way. However, preference is for 4-y-o Mountain Range, who looked a polytrack natural when winning here last winter and is now back down to the same mark for his in-form yard.
