MR KNIGHTLEY arrives here on a hat-trick having followed up his claiming success at this venue in October when landing a similar event over this trip at Wolverhampton last month. Jim Boyle's charge is favourably treated at the weights and has a solid chance of dominating his opponents in this small field. Sonko has posted some respectable handicap efforts in defeat this year and looks the main danger but none of I B A Gee Gee, Englishgreek or Marie's Fantasy make even the slightest bit of appeal.

Lord Lansing was beaten by just a short-head over this trip at Lingfield last time and is respected, despite a 3lb rise in the ratings. Nevertheless, preference is for LARKRISE STAR, who hails from the in-form Dean Ivory yard and who, himself, wasn't beaten far off a 2lb lower mark over 1m here last month. Noted as putting in his best work in the closing stages, the selection will relish this longer trip. First-time blinkers may elicit improvement from Rasheed, who completes the shortlist.

Safari Sunseeker, third over this C&D last month, and John Gosden's Jellicle, who hinted that this longer trip would suit when placed at Doncaster latest, help set the form standard but, marooned out wide, they need to overcome wide draws to prevail. It may thus be worth chancing Gary Moore's debutant MODERATOR, a Motivator gelding who is related to several all-weather winners. Flamborough Breeze shaped with promise when third over this trip at Wolverhampton last time and is another to consider.

Final Delivery usually finishes on the premises but he has repeatedly found one or two too good in the finish, including at plating level latest, so the vote goes to bottom-weight BURSTING BUBBLES, who improved between his first and second runs on polytrack when upped in trip and has bagged a good draw if Chris Catlin opts to blaze a trail. Tigresa was rather disappointing when eighth on debut at Ffos Las on soft ground last month but could come into contention if improving for the switch in surface with that experience now under her belt.

Wild Desert hasn't always looked the easier of rides but he gained a long overdue success at Wolverhampton ten days ago, a victory for which he is penalised here. Another big run from Charlie Longsdon's charge would not surprise but of more interest is EPSOM SALTS, who has a strike rate of 3-14 on artificial surfaces and scored over this testing trip at Goodwood as recently as October. Squad is turned out under a penalty for scoring over 1m6f at Wolverhampton last month and is another to consider.

Requisite is penalised for his C&D victory last week, when he had the reopposing SILENZIO back in second and, 6lb better off at the revised weights and now fitted with first-time blinkers, the latter is taken to reverse the form. Levitate was another involved in the blanket finish that day (third) and is entitled to finish on the premises off the same mark. Sutton Veny usually gives her running and makes more appeal than progressive all-weather performer Clear Praise, who returns from a 100-day absence after a poor, albeit brief, turf campaign and may strip fitter for the run.

Brian Sprout has one of the stronger riders in the race on his back but needs to overcome a wide berth so the vote instead goes to SLATEY HEN. Richard Guest's charge seemed to find some slight improvement when fitted with cheekpieces here latest and could benefit from the return to 6f now dropped 2lb in the weights. Others to consider are My Best Man, who has place claims now nudged up 4lb for a C&D second latest, and Lucky Royale, who beat the first-named over 5f latest and remains open to more improvement on what is just his fifth career start.
