ROLLING ACES is penalised for striking at Wincanton on his hurdling debut last month but scored in such style that he may be capable of giving weight away all around. The selection steps up from 2m6f today but has winning form over this trip between the flags so a big run seems likely. Redbridge Rebel has shown plenty of promise in Irish points and is respected on his first run under Rules while How's My Friend, beaten by just a nose over C&D latest, is also shortlisted.
Very hard to get away from Rolling Aces who is taken to add to last month's Wincanton success. How's My Friend looked unlucky not to win here last time and could give him most to think about, though Imperial Circus is a likely improver if none the worse for a year on the sidelines.

ON TREND made a winning start to his chase career in novices' company at Towcester last month, making all of the running over 2m6f and producing a jumping performance that belied his inexperience. Now stepping into handicap company, a follow up could feasibly be on the cards, providing the drop in trip doesn't inconvenience. Paul Nicholls' chase debutant Mr Hudson is feared most with recent course second, Hes Our Lad, another to consider.
Mr Hudson and Like A Hurricane both have the potential to do better now going chasing, but preference is for On Trend, who looks the more solid option after his impressive success at Towcester last month.

Carrickmines fluffed his lines yet again when falling at Wincanton latest but has dropped to a very good mark and warrants respect given the booking of Richard Johnson. Preference, however, is for SEA SAFFRON, who has winning chase form off this mark and was outpaced over an inadequate 2m6f at Ffos Las latest. She's On The Case fell at Newbury on his seasonal bow but is weighted to finish on the premises if jumping a clear round now back over the small obstacles.
Providing he's none the worse for a late fall at Wincanton last week, Carrickmines is surely the one to be with from this much-reduced hurdles mark. Sea Saffron shaped quite well on his return to action, and looks the chief threat ahead of Skipper Robin.

DOESLESSTHANME fell at Hereford when last sighted and connections now remove the blinkers that were applied that day. While he will need to settle better if he is to get back on the winning trail, the drop in trip and likely quicker pace could feasibly enable him to do so. C&D winner Super Formen has dropped to a good mark and merits consideration along with Mibleu, who is 5lb higher than when scoring over this trip at Newton Abbot in August.
Cruchain was a bit disappointing over hurdles last time but there's little wrong with his chase form and he could be the answer to a trappy affair. Doeslessthanme is an obvious danger if none the worse for last month's spill at Hereford.
