In a wide-open affair, it might pay to side with the progressive AVON SUPREME, second over 1m2f at Brighton last time out. Placed over 6f here last December, she may not have seen out the trip last time and this shorter distance might enable here to open her account at the sixth time of asking. Makyaal can be given a chance on the pick of his efforts and the fitting of first-time blinkers could boost his claims while American Lover and Byrd In The Hand has the ability to get involved in the finish.

It's worth taking a chance here on AUSSIE GUEST handling the switch to an all-weather surface. He's been quite highly tried on turf before finishing third over 6f at Nottingham off this mark on his handicap debut this month. There should be more to come after just four starts and he might not have too much to find to score here. Outlaw Torn scored over C&D last month but looked held off this mark at Wolverhampton next time out and will need to improve. Ermyn Flyer and Trending are others to consider in an open contest.

Symphony Time is clearly going the right way and she could turn her decent fourth in better company at Newmarket last month into winning form in this grade. Whatsofunny is a well-bred sort from a stable in form and could go well on her debut but preference is for LADY PERCY. This well-bred filly has put in two decent efforts so far on turf, finishing third over this trip at Chepstow latest. There's clearly more to come and, if she handles the switch to the polytrack, she could take all the beating here.

Rockme Cockney has sound claims on her close second over this trip at Thirsk but she has not shown the same level of ability on the all-weather. So does Ishaimiracle, clearly progressing but still with plenty to find. It's worth taking a chance on HESPERIDES, last of 13 on her debut on turf at Lingfield last month. She turned in a much improved effort over this track and trip next time, only weakening into fifth late on. With those runs under her belt - and an obvious liking for the polytrack - she can improve enough again to score tonight.

Two well-bred fillies, Delft and More Than Words, make their debuts here and it would be no surprise to see them taking a hand in the finish. The progressive Fareedha was a decent fourth at Yarmouth last month and has claims if handling the switch to an artificial surface but preference is for FINE PAINTING, who turned in a fine debut effort over 6f here in August, finishing a creditable sixth. She put in an even better next time over this C&D, going down less than a length to a more experienced horse. She can go one better tonight.

In a wide-open affair, it might pay to stick with recent C&D scorer LITTLECOTE LADY. She only got up by a neck last month and has another 2lb to carry now but might still be open to further improvement after just six starts. The danger looks to be Romany Spirit, third behind the selection last time out on her all-weather debut but only 1lb better off here. Guava won cosily at Nottingham last time but needs to improve on her previous all-weather effort, a task made tougher by a 6lb penalty.

It's hard to oppose the claims of DRAGONERA as she goes for a hat-trick. Her two wins have come on turf but she has scored on the polytrack and came home with enough in hand over this trip at Ripon latest to suggest she can follow up. Deraasa was an impressive winner over 1m4f in a Southwell maiden this month but this is tougher and a 6lb penalty won't help her cause. Yasir is clearly progressing and a first-time visor could improve his chances but he tackles handicap company and the all-weather for the first time now.

Plenty in with chances but it might pay to side with BLUE COSSACK. He was a well-held second over 1m4f at Southwell this month but looks to be running back into some form. He's now 4lb lower than his best winning mark and can take this if back to his best. Imperial Fong scored over 1m7f at Warwick latest but in a seller and he's likely to find this tougher while Thank You Joy won off this mark over 1m2f at Chepstow but has never tackled this sort of trip. Pizzetti cannot be ruled out.
