The booking of A P McCoy aboard Toretto speaks volumes about his chances on just his third start over timber but the value appears to lie elsewhere and, it could be worth siding with GET HOME NOW. The three-year-old son of Diktat has had the benefit of two attempts and is expected to improve again for his recent exertions at Ludow, when the firm ground may have gone against him. The Peter Bowen yard have enjoyed a profitable time of late while Colebrooke is another to take seriously.

Having won over the extended 2m trip at Stratford last term in bumper company, SCALES is taken to make a winning start to his novice hurdling career. The gelded son of Bob Back needed every yard of the trip that day and is expected to have been readied for this occasion. Powerful Ambition was another to show promise in bumper company, albeit in defeat, and should be considered closely along with All For Cash, who should make the frame if ready to roll.

If BARDOLET can recapture his solid form of last term, when he progressed through the ratings over both hurdles and fences, the Keith Reveley charge will take some beating on his reappearance. Below par at Huntingdon when last sighted back in March, he is capable of much better than that and remains attractively weighted. Of the others, Oponce is interesting back on ground which suits and Dont Tell Sailor is another to be wary of under Sam Thomas.

Paddy The Hare is proving expensive to follow and despite his winning course form, a chance is taken on MISS KALIFA. Peter Bowen's filly seemingly has it all to do against the boys and her elders but the point-to-point winner was going well at Fontwell last month before an unfortunate incident saw her inconvenienced and brought down at the seventh. Elsewhere, Mistoffelees should not be overlooked following a promising effort here earlier this month.

The Fox's Decree continues to hold his form well for Martin Keighley but he doesn't find winning easy and THORESBY makes most appeal. The son of Milan gave a creditable account of himself at Ludow two starts ago in novice handicap company and while he disappointed favourite backers at Towcester the time after, he is taken to break his duck back in the handicap ranks racing off this lower mark. Lucky Lukey rates best of the remainder.

Farleigh House is turned out immediately following another solid effort at Huntingdon on Tuesday and the distance winner clearly has a big run up his sleeve off this mark. However, it is interesting that Henry De Bromhead returns to this venue with C&D winner CARLETON PLACE. The gelded son of Beneficial has failed to follow-up in Ireland since that success here three starts ago and despite returning off a 13lb higher mark, A P McCoy's mount will take all the beating. Tilly Ann and Golden Dream also warrant respect.

The finale looks an ideal opportunity for BACK TO PARIS to return to winning ways as recent performances have suggested the nine-year-old could be some way ahead of the assessor off 85. A comfortable three-length success over C&D two starts ago was followed up with a solid display at Towcester recently when runner-up under a 7lb penalty. He must defy that penalty again here but remains feasibly treated, 2lb well in at the weights. Bazart and Endeavor rate the pick of the others and make up the shortlist.
