Some well-bred individuals from Ballydoyle make their debuts here including Broadway, a half-sister to Arc de Triomphe winner Danedream, Happily, a full-sister to dual 2000 Guineas winner Gleneagles, and September, out of the excellent race mare Peeping Fawn. All of them will no doubt improve for the outing, like many of the yard's first time out performers do, so preference goes to SHAPES, who has chased home Alpha Centauri twice so far and is entitled to improve for the step up to 7f back in maiden company. Back At Dawn is respected being Jim Bolger's first runner for the sire he trained, Dawn Approach, while So Enjoy could be well worth a market check with Pat Smullen booked.

TREVANNA was unbeaten in two starts last season at Down Royal and Naas when looking a filly with the scope for improvement as a three-year-old. This will be the fastest ground she has encountered but the daughter of Requinto is entitled to benefit from a sounder surface. Ma Fee Heela got off the mark at the third attempt having shown smart form in defeat before that behind Irish 2000 Guineas third Irishcorrespondent, while Rock In Peace is extremely consistent and completes the shortlist.

BRENDAN BRACKAN sets the standard with conditions in his favour and arrives off the back of a solid third in the Mooresbridge Stakes at Naas behind Minding. If running to that form back at a mile, he should prove difficult to beat. Making Light looks the most obvious improver in the field having won her last two and gets all the weight allowances, while Marshall Jennings should appreciate the return to a mile having posted a good effort over C&D behind Rose De Pierre two starts ago.

Everything points to a massive run from EZIYRA, who is very well treated at these weights, being top-rated yet receiving 5lb all round, and the Group 3 scorer looks the sort that will improve from two to thee years. Course winner Brutal comes out second best on official figures and has interestingly been gelded since his latest start. He rates the biggest threat ahead of Finn McCool, who arrives on the back of a couple of third-placed efforts in Pattern company.

KHABARAY was much too good when running out a convincing winner over this C&D last month and a 7lb rise in the weights looks fair enough. Gary Halpin is a good booking and he looks worth sticking with. Korbous is another who run well here last time, finishing second, while Curragh runner-up So Sensible is another to consider on recent form. Rummaging switches from the all-weather and is on a fair mark now.

A competitive heat but the marginal preference is for LIGETI, who only found one too good in a similar event over C&D last time out and has only been raised 1lb for that effort. Automated had a good spell over hurdles last winter and he makes his return to the Flat on a workable mark. Pirolo arrives here having won his last two starts on turf, while Creative Talent and All Body And Soul also make the shortlist.

AUCKLAND steps up in trip and into handicap company for the first time following the son of Galileo's maiden victory at the track last time, and the Ballydoyle colt could be feasibly treated here. Hyperdrive is 4lb higher than when scoring over further at Limerick but Jessie Harrington's gelding could still have more to come, while Simafar is entitled to improve on his debut performance for Robbie McNamara and any market support needs to be noted.
