RYEDALE RIO improved for the return to 5f on handicap debut when second behind Lydiate Lady at Carlisle and may have more improvement to come compared to the majority of his rivals who are fairly exposed. Zebelini ran a better race last time when fourth behind Seamster at Beverley, while Little Belter has been knocking on the door recently and should be thereabouts for a yard currently going well.

LUCKY ESTEEM ran well on debut last month at Doncaster and is entitled to have improved for the experience gained there. Elementary should improve for the extra furlong after keeping on well at Kempton on debut and has an interesting jockey booking in Donnacha O'Brien. Of the newcomers, Syphax is a well related individual with his dam placed at Graded level out in America.

FORECASTER ran well on handicap debut at Hamilton behind Wotabreeze and effectively races off the same mark with Donnacha O'Brien taking 3lb off her back. Raven Banner has a 6lb penalty to contend with along with a drop in distance but warrants respect, while Page Of Wands is entitled to improve on her form shown in maidens now racing in handicap company for the first time.

HENRY SMITH has been in fine form of late and his 6lb penalty for winning over C&D last month is largely negated by his rider's claim. Chauvelin beat the selection three starts ago and is now better off at the weights and cannot be discounted. Amirli was third to Henry Smith here 11 days ago but will need to improve to reverse that form.

The highly-progressive FUMO JUMBO has a 100% record at this course and her best performance yet came at this venue on her most recent start last month. She appears to be ahead of the handicapper and looks like the one to beat despite a 6lb penalty. Henley is a consistent type who looks likely to be on the premises once more, while Savannah Beau is starting to look well handicapped and looks likely to provide the selection with most to do. Course and distance winner Pearl Acclaim completes the list of likely contenders.

SISYPHUS returned to form at this venue in May after being well backed, only finding a well-treated rival too good. He has claimed success at the Scottish venue before, most recently in April off 8lb lower. He looks progressive, battle-hardened and could be capable of landing this. Giant Redwood has the services of Donnacha O' Brien, but will need to improve on what he showed at Pontefract three weeks ago, while Braes Of Lochalsh needs things to go his way but did run much better at Ayr last time and looks to be on a fair mark.

DASHEEN's effort at Beverley last week was full of promise and he was unfortunate to bump into an improving horse on his handicap debut. He settled well and, assuming no other such rivals are in this bunch, looks set to launch a bold bid once more under Phillip Makin. Dark Crystal likes it here and his second at Ayr recently signalled a return to form, while Gypsy Major is usually thereabouts at this level and appears versatile in regards to underfoot conditions.
