A maiden that often works out very well and Godolphin usually send some nice prospects here. Dubai Hero was a 100,000gns yearling and is related to plenty of winners in Italy, while D'bai is full-brother to the Group 2 winner and dual Classic-placed Dubawi Gold. That said, EVERGATE has experience on his side and was third in a decent maiden at Leicester last time out. If he can find some more improvement then the son of Exceed And Excel could prove hard to beat. Hyde Park and Khalidi are others who should put their experience to good use. Another newcomer to note is the 310,000gns purchase Fujaira Bridge.

This race looks set to be dominated by some thoroughly progressive three-year-olds and in particular CLEAR WATER. The daughter of Hard Spun bolted up in a maiden over 7f on the Rowley Mile back in May and that form has been boosted with many of those in behind her that day running very well subsequently. However, Fawaareq is another with a big chance and he has won both of his starts since he chased home Castle Harbour in a maiden in April. Blair House and Column were beaten favourites last time out and more can be expected today, while Weld Al Emarat is the pick of the older horses.

ARISTOCRATIC ran well on her return behind a very well handicapped horse in Persuasive at Goodwood and, with that rival maintaining her unbeaten record with victory in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot, a mark of 79 seems lenient for Sir Michael Stoute's charge who is entitled to improve for that reappearance effort. Permission was a hugely impressive winner here on debut and merits plenty of respect with Aljuljalah also noted.

Bletchley was an eyecatching second at Royal Ascot in the Albany behind Brave Anna but will need to be more streetwise in a strong renewal of this contest. Roly Poly has plenty of experience and improved for the step up to 6f when winning a Group 3 at the Curragh last month. She has every chance here but preference goes to NASIMI who created a big impression when winning a decent maiden at Haydock, beating Nations Alexander, and can take the step up in class in her stride. Nations Alexander has solid claims herself along with Kilmah, while Somebody To Love can be forgiven one bad run on desperate ground over C&D.

The brilliant USHERETTE beat a few of these in the Duke Of Cambridge at Royal Ascot last month, taking her career record to 6-7. She has displayed real class to land two races in the UK on different types of ground, and the daughter of Shamardal looks likely to maintain her excellent record. Alice Springs is often thereabouts in such contests, and produced an effort of serious promise in the Coronation Stakes a fortnight ago, running out of room when mounting her challenge before finishing third. She would undoubtedly have finished closer with a little more luck, and perhaps deserves to be classed as the main danger. Amazing Maria should appreciate the return to faster ground, while Always Smile has a few lengths to make up on the selection based on that Royal Ascot running, but she is another who could prove to be a different proposition back on a better surface.

Mark Johnston has won this for three consecutive years, and looks to have his sights set on further success with three runners. The pick of those looks to be Bathos, who won well at Goodwood in May before finding Epsom too tricky to deal with. He looks likely to do better here, but could find life difficult against the talented BANKSEA. Luca Cumani's three-year-old proved that he is a progressive handicapper by claiming victory at Pontefract last month, and a 7lb rise for that success looks to be fair. Autocratic is a nice prospect and represents in-form connections, while High Grounds is also open to further improvement.

The consolation prize for those missing out on Saturday's Bunbury Cup, where LIBRISA BREEZE looks the stand out contender. The son of Mount Nelson was runner-up in the Royal Hunt Cup last time behind Portage and has the assistance of Ryan Moore in the saddle. The drop to 7f shouldn't pose any issues. Can't Change It was bitterly disappointing on the all-weather last time at Newcastle but still looks well handicapped on his Goodwood success, while Certificate is interesting back on faster ground for the first time since beating Old Guard in a Windsor maiden in June 2014.
