I'M A DOUGHNUT ran his best race to date at Beverley last time, staying on well in the closing stages over 5f and suggesting the return to this longer trip would suit. Having been handed a fair rating, Tom Dascombe's charge is expected to strike on his handicap bow. Wish Again wasn't beaten far off this mark at Hamilton latest and is feared most. First Rebellion, 4lb higher than when scoring at Chepstow in August, is also considered.

REGAL ACCLAIM went down battling on soft ground at Ayr last time but ultimately shaped like he'd be seen to better effect when dropped back to this shorter trip. Only 4lb higher than when scoring at Carlisle last month, Tim Easterby's charge is thus taken to score. Others to consider in an open-looking event are last time out Kempton second Inya House and Charlie Hills' Deduction, who was forced to race wide at Sandown last time.

LUCKY HENRY ran with promise when third on debut at Newbury and is taken to open his account with the benefit of that experience now behind him. Excellent Jem, third on debut at Yarmouth, and Idler, who filled the same position as the last-named at Musselburgh in September, are entitled to improve now dropped in trip but the main danger may be Roger Varian's newcomer, Tioman Pearl, who is a half-sister to seven winners.

FREE HOUSE improved for the step up to 1m last time at Sandown and, not beaten far in fifth, is expected to go very well today if his progression has continued in between his second and third start. Ctappers took a forward stepped when dropped back to 1m1f at Goodwood last month and also warrants consideration, as does Mark Johnston's newcomer Teide Peak, a Cape Cross colt who fetched 100,000 gns as a foal.

Saeed Bin Suroor has a fantastic record at this venue so ESTOURAH has to be of considerable interest. The selection didn't look the most straightforward rides when third in a visor at Goodwood last time but is eased in the weights and looks ready to strike now dropped in trip. Oratory has claims if his stamina holds out while Changing The Guard returns to handicaps on a workable mark having contested two claimers last month.

LANDAMAN benefitted from the step up to this trip when disposing of a Pontefract field with ease last time and, in receipt of an age allowance for three-year-olds, he is fancied to strike on his handicap bow. Now dropped back to 1m2f, Judicious and Hunter Forward are expected to improve having both been denied hat-tricks when upped to 1m4f last time. Mcbirney is also handicapped to strike anytime soon but is proving hard to catch right.

This looks a very tight maiden with very little to separate the field on official figures. Marginal preference is for FIGARO, who went down fighting when touched off by a head at Pontefract last time and could get the run of the race here. Kahraba raced keenly at Folkestone last time and may not enjoy a strong pace to help her settle in this small field. Of more interest is Sunday Bess, who may improve for the fitting of first-time blinkers.

CAPTAIN MACARRY finally exploited his declining mark when scoring at Newcastle last week and, still 8lb lower than when starting the season at Thirsk, he remains well treated under a penalty. The hat-trick seeking Olney Lass is evidently at one with herself and is feared most even though she's 6lb higher than when last winning at Brighton over 7f. The drop in trip could also spark improvement from William Haggas' lightly-raced Starbound.
