There wasn't much between Okie Zipit, Betty C and Poppin Bottles when the trio clashed over slightly shorter here last month and connections of all three will fancy their chances here. But, SOONER EXPRESS has shown glimpses of promise in a better grade at times and may have too much.

Not the strongest of maidens and a market move for a newcomer could prove significant, particularly Perfect One or Heroic Song who have both worked encouragingly. But VIM AND VIGOUR was noted staying on over a shorter trip on her debut and may be able to put that experience to good use.

Most of these appear to hold some sort of chance if putting their best foot forward but the thrice-raced CHEROKEE GIRL is the big potential improver in the line-up and she gets the vote after only faltering late on in a stronger race over 7f last time. Gospel Lucille and Sunday's Vision may prove most troublesome.

Few of these are totally convincing and, with that in mind, it may pay to side with the big class-dropper APPOLINA gaining a first win over this trip. She's only won over 5f so far but there's been signs that this trip may be within range. Viva La Secreta and Witt Nine both won well in lesser company last time and should also be considered.

True Friend improved markedly to open her account last time and may be the one to beat despite dropping back in trip with Aloha Dreamer also respected back over her favoured distance. But, if there is any value, it may lie with the lightly-raced HUNNY HUSH whose impressive debut win here last season is hard to forget.

None of those with racecourse experience have shown anything to get excited about, though Gee Gee was at least competitive on her last start. For all that, the newcomers jump out on paper either, but TAYLOR'S VISION may be worth taking a chance on after a genuinely encouraging workout last time.

DRC ALL INCLUSIVE looked better than ever when leaving both Bourbon Cowboy and Classy Class trailing in his wake here last time and he will take a world of beating if in the same mood. The potential fly in the ointment would be a fully tuned-up Tiz Alluptome Now but a near eight-month absence is far from ideal.

FAIRWAY MAGIC hasn't lived up to her $335,000 price-tag but her recent win over the course and distance was a huge step forward and there may be more to come from her with the Calhoun yard in red-hot form. Recent Louisiana winner Zenucci and lightly-raced class-dropper Mister Kelly are also live contenders.

Great Faces' best efforts in defeat probably set the standard but he finished behind the improving THAT'S SOMETHING over 1m here last time and, if anything, the slightly shorter trip here should favour the latter. Why Not Okie took a step forward on his first run for a year last month and may offer some value if the longer trip suits.
