Ardnamurchan progressed from her debut fourth to get off the mark over this trip at Windsor and is respected on her handicap debut, but the vote goes to GOOD EARTH. Michael Herrington's charge wasn't disgraced in fourth over track and trip last time and has kindly been dropped 2lb. With first-time cheekpieces now applied, he could find the improvement required to strike. Hint Of Humour completes the shortlist.
LEVEL UP returned to form when landing a handicap by three parts of a length at his favoured Chepstow last time and, only 4lb higher, can follow up if replicating that effort despite the revised mark. Despite still showing signs of greeness on her second start, Ardnamurchan improved when winning a maiden at Windsor last time and, remaining open to further improvement over the minimal trip, can go well on handicap debut. Zoustar Dreams is back to just 2lb above her last winning mark from Nottingham in July and, with Oisin Murphy booked by Ed Dunlop, can go well again returned to 5f.

Roger Varian's youngster has shown ability in his two career starts so far, most recently finishing a fair fifth at Ascot, and this extra furlong could unlock the improvement needed to get off the mark. The combination of a change of scenery and introduction of a tongue-tie and blinkers saw ROOM SERVICE make a winning stable bow at Newcastle. The five-year-old stayed on strongly to lead towards the finish and the step up to a mile could unlock further improvement. Cerro Blanco has only tasted defeat once in three outings to date, when runner-up at this level at Newmarket in May, and he rates a live threat, along with Nahraan.
CERRO BLANCO is a very smart prospect who readily won by seven lengths at Newmarket last time and, having gone close in a Listed race over 7f there previously, can improve again for this step up in trip for top connections. Nahraan was third in the Group 3 Rose Of Lancaster Stakes at Haydock last time, where he was out-kicked off a slow pace, and can go well stepping back down in grade and trip for the Gosdens. Room Service returned to form when winning at Newcastle in new headgear last time and, proven at this level, can go well again if building on that with the tongue-tie and blinkers retained.

LIGHTNING GLORY gained compensation for several creditable efforts in defeat when landing the spoils at Newmarket last month. The three-year-old boasts a progressive profile and a 2lb nudge up the ratings could prove to be lenient. Dangers are aplenty, headed by Kimeko Glory, who lost little in defeat when attempting to follow up a bloodless Salisbury success at Goodwood. Handicap debutant Withtearsinmyeyes is heading in the right direction too.
KIMEKO GLORY has been in good form, scoring by an impressive 12l at Salisbury on her penultimate start and was beaten only three quarters of a length at Newmarket last time. Despite another 4lb rise, she can remain competitive with the red-hot Saffie Osborne booked. Lightning Glory has been very consistent in a short career and finally opened her account at Newmarket last time. With William Buick taking the ride for Simon and Ed Crisford, she can go well again despite this step up in class off 2lb higher. Edwin Hubble is one to consider having won over C&D on his penultimate start, while Mythological Star arrives in fine fettle and drops back in distance with solid claims in an open affair. However, it could pay to concentrate on one of the less exposed types and BRIGHTON BEACH fits the bill. She endured a troubled passage at Goodwood on her handicap debut, but finished with a wet sail to grab third once in the clear and the Haggas filly is worthy of another chance on that evidence.
BRIGHTON BEACH got off the mark at Thirsk when scoring by a head over a mile at Thirsk on her penultimate start, but was below form when beaten two lengths over this longer trip at Goodwood on handicap debut. She remains progressive for William Haggas' yard and should have more to come, so can bounce back given this distance another go. Mythological Star has been consistent and progressive since handicapping, completing a double in his first two starts, and, having found things tougher over a longer trip last time, can bounce back returned to 10f. Saxophonist has been generally consistent and was beaten only a neck at Haydock last time. With this now looking his optimum trip, he should go close again.
