Liberty Bird has won on fast ground at Beverley and off this mark in a lesser race at Southwell but a chance is taken on triple winner SHIELAS WELL, who has the benefit of in-form apprentice Elizabeth Gale in the saddle. Grant Tuer's filly pulled too hard to get home at Leicester but, if she settles, she might get her head back in front. Atmosphere can also go well with Jack Callan in the plate and the recent Beverley third could be the one for the forecast.

With the likelihood of plenty of early pace, it may set up nicely for MWAKI, a solid second at Yarmouth off this mark, despite pulling too hard. If he can find early cover, a strong finish looks on the cards. Sinj may be allowed to bowl along over this trip and might be the one they all need to catch, although Calafiori could potentially pester her on the front end.

Doctor Dauila is one to take seriously if she can bounce back to the level of her Chepstow second. However, she may struggle to get the better The Kamikaze King, who was only beaten a neck at Brighton, and ONE MORE BOTTLE. A first-time visor saw dramatic improvement from Lizzie Quinlan's gelding and he registered a clear-cut success at Ayr under Elizabeth Gale. If he takes to the quicker ground, he might well follow up.

A promising third when keeping on well towards the finish over 7f at Ayr, ANGEL OF THE BAY looks well worth another go at a mile and he can get off the mark at the 18th time of asking. Dash Power has strong claims if bouncing back to the form of last month's narrow defeat at Yarmouth, while stablemate Starshot looks to build upon a creditable fourth at Southwell. Harry Palmer and Pending Appeal cannot be ruled out either.

TARDAFF showed major improvement from her first to her second start when runner-up at Newmarket last time out and, with more progress expected, she can go one better. A well-related sort by Blue Point, the Ed Walker-trained Bette Davis Eyes is likely to have a big say first time out, while Blackwater Lilly and Exposay are worth a second look too.

Not beaten far on each of her last two appearances, including most recently at Doncaster when dwelling at the start, TIVA remains on a workable mark and this represents a nice opportunity for her to get back to winning ways. Runner-up at Beverley last time out, Brazilian Belle must enter calculations, along with taking Redcar scorer Marajito, who has a 7lb higher figure to deal with.

DAARIS is perfectly suited to this trip and having gone close for 3lb claimer William Pyle when he was last in the saddle, the pieces gel nicely as he gets weight from his five rivals. Fleur De Mer isn't fully exposed over the distance and can make this a good test for the selection. Green Team has won two of his last three starts on the all-weather and can also have an impact if replicating that form back on turf.

C&D winner DUMFRIES has already seen off the challenges of few of these in past encounters and looks the percentage call, with fellow track-and-trip winner Langholm feared most. Michael Dods' nine-year-old has slipped to an attractive rating and, armed with a 1lb pull in the weights, he has a solid chance of at least reversing last week's Catterick form with Without Delay. Korroor is another with each-way possibilities.
