Something of an open affair this but it is hard to ignore (2) GUCCIA who recently raced very well under these conditions and from the 2-spot could well impose this time. Roussel can nevertheless expect to feel some heat from the in-form (4) GUINESS GRIFF even though Mottier's filly is short on references going left-handed. (3) GALIE DE CELINIERE always gives her best and in this category looks to be in with a decent shout. The complicated (5) GLAMOUR RIVER finished a place behind the selection here mid-month and with application can again trot her way onto the podium.

After ending the year on a high note in the Prix de Vincennes (14) GANGSTER DU WALLON has struggled going barefoot but Lecroq races him shod this time and can get back to victorious ways. Runner-up to him in the December highlight (11) GRACE DE FAEL was similarly sanctioned in her next two but she has been entrusted to Alexandre Abrivard for the occasion and can redeem herself. (7) GAROU DU CHENE was dynamic on her re-entry earlier in the month and looks eminently capable of finishing in the mix. (12) GAINSBOROUGH reassured in the Gr.2 Prix Camille de Wazieres last month and going first time barefoot will have his chances.

A veritable dynamo when barefoot (14) DARLING BERRY has been held back for this race and with JMB in the sulky will take all the beating. Romauld Mourice returns (7) DERBY DE SOUVIGNE to the capital after some fine efforts on the Riviera and with Eric Raffin at the helm is unlikely to be going home empty-handed. (3) MONI VIKING is unbeaten over 2700m here when barefoot and the nature of his recent success augurs well for his chances. (12) DATCHA is back at the top of her game and drops down the class ladder with justified ambition.

Runner-up to Bilibili on her only appearance under these conditions (8) BILOOKA DU BOSCAIL gave an excellent account of herself under harness eight days ago and if form transitions she should just have the edge over Cornulier second (10) ETOILE DE BRUYERE who will still be dangerous even with shoes on. (9) EVANGELINA BLUE has gone from strength to strength since then and latterly held off the good Feeling Cash to win the Gr.1 Prix des Centaures. (2) CABAN PRIOR is in his element over 2850m on the main track and will be no pushover.

On quite a roll this winter (2) DORGOS DE GUEZ can be considered rather unlucky in the Prix de Marne. His handler takes over the reins here however and can set the record straight. Third that day before confirming under the saddle (1) MINDYOURVALUE W.F. has the inside line and looks marginally the main threat. That being said (7) VALOKAJA HINDO appears to be back at the top of his game and together with (8) COLONEL can apply the pressure.

Winner of five of the six races he has finished (7) GOUT BAROQUE has yet to deliver on the Vincennes main track but he showed his form here recently and this may well be the occasion he gets it right. (14) GITANO won in very good order that day and completing the hat-trick is well within his capacity. (6) GO WINNER would have finished closer on that occasion had he been afforded a run but can set the record straight. (15) GANYMED DE CORBERY is clearly in excellent shape and has a decent chance of trotting his way onto the podium.

Unsurprisingly the field for this year's edition is a small one given the presence of last year's winner (8) FACE TIME BOURBON who is going to take all the beating after having had three weeks to recover from his narrow defeat in the Prix de France. Closest rival to him looks to be (7) ENINO DU POMMEREUX who has not been seen out since the late-January showpiece. Very hard to fault when unshod and focused (5) FRISBEE D'AM looks competitively well in as does (2) FLECHE DU YUCCA who has been a model of consistency this winter.

After having struggled to find her form earlier in the meeting (3) FEVER got back down to business with an authoritative course and distance victory early February and in similar form can double her money. That being said (9) FIDELE DU GOUTIER has been specifically prepared for this and is not incapable of complementing last month's victory. (8) FILOE DE JARY trotted a good third to her that day and looks good enough to confirm. The reinvigorated (5) FREGATE ISLAND will also have her chances.

A quality Italian import (2) VASTAZ FONT MIL faulted on his Vincennes debut last month but is still better than most here and on good behaviour can open his French account. (6) EDY DU POMMEREUX has already imposed under these conditions and with shoes off for the occasion can play an important role. (13) MISTER ED HELDIA came a cropper here last time out but is a quality German trotter and being entrusted to Eric Raffin will do his prospects no disservice. The normally faithful (8) EOLE DU PRIEURE failed to make the grade that day but goes unshod behind this time and can get back in the game.
