KASHEL SPRING won a maiden over this trip on the corresponding card a year ago and looks the pick of Denis Hogan's two runners. She also won a nine-furlong handicap last year, when trained by Joseph O'Brien, and will be suited by dropping back in trip after probably needing her first run in over three months at Tramore. Minaun View won two similar contests earlier this month and is respected along with Battling Siki.

AVEC GRAND PLAISIR was quietly fancied to improve on his maiden form when tackling his first handicap at Cork, and he posted a solid third. The other horses in the frame have subsequently shown that form to be strong and the well-bred St Mark's Basilica gelding, a half-brother to four useful winners, can capitalise on the return to maiden company. Tyraxes and Taj Crown have obvious claims but are a bit more exposed than the selection. Contrite's debut on the all-weather was promising and she's a player on that form.

CONNOVA was drawn 13 when a never-nearer third to a subsequent winner over C&D last month and, crucially, Sheila Lavery's runner now has a much better berth in stall two. There was money for the daughter of Saxon Warrior when fourth on handicap debut at Gowran, and she got much closer here last time. Curious Jane is one who could go well at a price. She wasn't beaten far at Leopardstown and is now tried in headgear. A winner over 1m4f at Bellewstown, Private Larry went close over hurdles on Friday and is another to note.

ELUSIVE DUKE got stuck behind a wall of horses early in the straight when a beaten favourite at Killarney last week, and Oisin Murphy looked after him when his chance had gone. Mark Molloy's grey had finished runner-up on his previous two starts, including a short-head defeat at Gowran, and is worth another chance with Colin Keane taking the mount. Four-time winner Bucaneer's Spirit landed the claimer on this card 12 months ago and has been knocking on the door of late, while Nibras Rainbow is also respected.

DABOYA is at the top of her game and can complete a hat-trick. A course and distance winner last month, she followed up when beating a subsequent scorer at Tramore and has the champion jockey on board for the first time. A maiden winner over 1m4f last year, Sea Coral showed a lot more on her third start of this campaign when three lengths off the selection at Tramore. She looks to be coming to hand and is 6lb better off. Truth Be Told is another on a hat-trick and has won over this far.

COPPER CRAFT was all but home on his last start at Navan before a subsequent winner nabbed him late on, and the Andy Oliver-trained gelding could take a bit of beating. Masego was touched off over this trip at Down Royal on Friday and looks the biggest danger to the selection. Denis Hogan's Tassarolo ran well at Killarney last week and, with top apprentice Paddy Harnett on board, is sure to be competitive. Desert Friend isn't the most predictable, but the veteran has a C&D win to his name and has struck twice this year.

Henry de Bromhead's team are in good form and this looks like a gilt-edged opportunity for the consistent NUIT to get off the mark on her twelfth start. The Sea The Stars filly was raised to a mark of 96 after her latest fourth in a Group 3 at Fairyhouse, and this return to calmer waters gives her a huge chance. Catherine Magennis improved from her debut when second at Roscommon and further progression is likely. Black Heather is another to consider.
