War Of The World was all the rage on his seasonal reappearance last year when the Tim Vaughan charge lined up as favourite for the Summer Plate at Market Rasen but a similar lengthy absence appeared to get the better of him on that occasion and, for that reason, a chance is taken on GETMEOUTHEDOLDRUMS. The Charlie Longsdon has his string in sparkling form at present and the point-to-point runner-up makes his debut under Rules todays. A positive market move should be noted, while Akbabend appeals most of the others.

Gemini Jim was by no means disgraced on the point-to-point circuit and is likely to be on offer at a tempting price for this novice event. Paddy The Hare continues to hold his form well having made a creditable start in this sphere but preference is for ELSAFEER. Form behind the thriving Manger Hanagment last time out at Sedgefield bodes well, with a return to what is expected to be a quick surface another positive. The 119-rated hurdler is expected to take all the beating, but keep a close eye on the relatively unexposed Brough Academy.

Captain Dash clearly has talent in abundance and is worthy of close consideration on his debut for Tim Vaughan. The six-year-old, however, must address his jumping issues having fell on his last two starts and, with that in mind, THE GREY ONE makes more appeal. The son of Dansili runs 2lb well in at the weights and looks feasibly treated off an attractive mark of 74. The step back to 2m will also help but it would be dangerous to rule out the chances of Chilbury Hill in the first-time cheekpieces.

Jacko's Boy remains a maiden after ten starts but this switch back to timber could bring out the best in the Martin Keighley representative. Watch Out can boast C&D-winning form but would need to step up on what he has shown recently to have a realistic chance and PLATIN GROUNDS gets the vote. The Nigel Twiston-Davies charge was rated 132 in his pomp and although he hasn't set the world alight this year, this revised mark of 95 looks an attractive one as he bids to regain the winning trend.

Surf And Turf appears to be taking time to come to himself this year following a positive end to the previous campaign. The Jonjo O'Neill charge shouldn't be overlooked but it is very hard to oppose the thriving ARGAUM. The recent Bangor winner escapes a penalty for scoring in that conditional jockeys' event and the Evan Williams representative is due to go up 11lb after today. Kack Handed is taken to pose the most serious threat to the selection.

Inishrush has enjoyed a successful summer over the larger obstacles and with ground conditions in his favour it would be no surprise to see the son of Presenting record back-to-back victories under a 7lb penalty. The value, however, appears to lie elsewhere and, despite having yet to win on English soil, STORMYISLAND AHEAD makes plenty of appeal at the forecast prices. The six-year-old didn't appear to stay the extended 3m1f at Ffos Las in August and is worth another look having been dropped in trip. The Fox's Decree is another with claims.

The front-running And He's Dreaming might be worth another chance in bumper company having shaped well enough at Perth on debut (finished third) before being disqualified for taking the wrong course. Richard Johnson takes the ride on this occasion and while that bodes well for his supporters, CASTLETOWN BRIDGE is preferred. Placed twice in point-to-points, the gelded son of Bienamado is sure to have know his job on his NH debut for the in-form Charlie Longsdon stable and market support would inspire further confidence. Rydalis and Bradys Cottage make most appeal of the remainder.
