TOM CLOVER has already matched his 22 winners of last season and all compasses point to a flurry of winners in the coming months that should have his personal best of 30 winners in 2022 soon under threat.
Training in the historic Kremlin House Stables in Newmarket, Clover really hit the jackpot in 2023 when he was able to taste Royal Ascot glory with Rogue Millenium in the Group 2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes and his thirst for winners at the big meeting was quenched a little at Glorious Goodwood when Witness Stand scooted home in first time cheekpieces.
Clover is looking forward to introducing recent recruit Al Nayyir in the Lonsdale at York and has a sprinkling of other runners at the meeting before a busy weekend at Goodwood and other venues.
Clover said: “We have some lovely horses and we are lucky to train for some really nice owners. We are just trying to do our best and this is a rebuilding year and, hopefully, we can have a good second half of the season. We have some big runners to run over the next week and we are looking forward to a busy period.”
Clover kindly spoke to Tony Elves for attheraces.com about an interesting Kremlin House team.
