Tom Clover had a moment he will never forget in his training career when Rogue Millennium provided him with a much desired first Royal Ascot win and the bar is set to be raised a little higher at Deauville at the end of the month.
The Dubawi filly was propelled to a neck success from Random Harvest under Danny Tudhope in the Group 2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes at the Royal meeting and all roads lead to the Group 1 Prix Rothschild where she competes over a mile once more.
Tom said: “It was a tremendous thrill to win have a winner at Royal Ascot and I was delighted for Rogues Gallery Racing who have been such tremendous supporters of the stable. Hopefully, we can go an enjoy success together at the highest level and we have some very nice prospects under our care.
“The horses had been running well all year without quite winning but there are few going in now. We have a good few two-year-olds to run and hopefully they can fly the flag for us too.”
Rogue Lightning was another to possibly book his place for a trip to Deauville when winning in great style at Doncaster recently. He was one of several interesting prospects from Kremlin House Stables in Newmarket’s Fordham Road that Tom kindly discussed with Tony Elves of attheraces.com.
