Verdict
Many would argue MILITARY CROSS has had enough chances, and they're probably right. A beaten favourite on more than one occasion, he now goes up in trip on his handicap debut and connections reach for first-time cheekpieces, so it's worth going to the well one last time. Pleasant Man is the sole C&D winner in here and makes some each-way appeal, while Moon Sniper was only beaten a half-length into third here last time.
Expert View Verdict
Don Simon is still a maiden but he has plenty of fair efforts to his name and there's surely has a bigger effort in him yet returning from 219 days off. Similar comments apply to the 4yo TROJAN SOLDIER as well, though, Jedd O'Keeffe's gelding having looked a winner in waiting when twice a runner-up in the spring but not seen since running flat at Ayr in the summer. He still appeals as being on a good mark. Military Cross hasn't progressed and is clearly one of Godolphin's lesser lights, but the step up in trip is a least an interesting move.
