Verdict

Tony Carroll hasn't taken long to work GALAXY WONDER out and after sharing the spoils here on Boxing Day, the four-year-old has twice performed with credit as the 2/1 favourite. Returning to Dunstall Park is in his favour and the handicapper may have been hasty in dropping him 1lb. Ana Emaraaty dug in to prevail at Newcastle and is a threat if judged on that display rather than his subsequent defeat there. Wave Rock, Revich and Ciotog also have claims.

Expert View Verdict

Galaxy Wonder rates the most likely winner stepping back up in trip, being a C&D scorer in December who has found 8f inadquate the last twice. He's been eased 1lb and may well defy top weight, but now could be the time to take a chance on READ ALL ABOUT IT, who has completely lost her form in two starts since returning from six months off but now looks really well handicapped on her early efforts. Dropping in trip and fitted with first-time cheekpieces, it's now or never for the filly. Wave Rock, who has had just the one handicap start, when shaping well over C&D under today's rider, is of some interest also.
