Doha Dream appears to set the standard on his third in the Prix Niel behind Makahiki but the step up in distance does pose some questions about whether he will appreciate a stiffer test of stamina. Preference goes to MOONSHINER who has form with the St Leger runner-up Ventura Storm and improved last time when winning at Saint-Cloud over today's distance. Marmelo represents Hughie Morrison and remains unexposed, while Peribsen is a through stayer who should give a decent account.

THE JULIET ROSE sets the standard on form and was a very respectable third here in the Prix Vermeille last month behind Left Hand. It is significant that connections avoid the temptation of a runner in the Arc to come here instead. Mango Tango could surprise a few observers, while Almela and Impressionist will have a say too.

ROERO has won on this surface here before and the former Listed winner appears to be on a decent mark at the moment. He finished just in front of Sant'amanza here at the beginning of the month and can confirm those placings today. Bandanetta and Ecureuil are in good form and must be respected.

There was some talk that the beautifully-bred ZARAK would be considered for the Arc and it would be a minor surprise if he didn't prove up to taking this. The Aga Khan owned Dubawi three year old is a talented performer at the highest level and can get Christophe Soumillon's weekend off to the perfect start. Heshem might be the one for the forecast, while the consistent German raider Potemkin also enters calculations ahead of the William Haggas-trained Yorker.

VAZIRABAD had to work hard for his win here earlier this month but the multiple Group winner should relish the extra distance today and can record his ninth career success. Mille Et Mille was disappointing last time out but is proven over this distance and cannot be ruled out, while Nearly Caught and Quest For More provide a strong English challenge and have to be respected.

MOONLIGHT MAGIC has some decent form in Ireland, including a respectable effort behind Almanzor at Leopardstown last month. The step back in trip today should suit and he can get the better of Dicton, who has shown massive improvement this year. The Rouget trained Taareef is another who must be respected.

WOROOD was an impressive winner at La Teste Buch in August and can claim her first Group One success here today. Naziq and Princesse Monlauwere second and third respectively in that race and look the main dangers to the selection again today.

RAISON D'ETRE returned to form when winning a Class D race at Deauville in August and is still on a reasonable handicap mark. Well drawn today she gets the vote at what should be decent odds. Aimless Lady is better than what she showed last time out and cannot be ruled out, while Jasmiralda and Morgenlicht are the next best.
