New To Town faced a tough task in a Grade 3 at Naas late last month but her previous form in maiden company gives her a big shout this afternoon. That said, the preference is for KENYA, who caught the eye when a staying-on third on his debut earlier in the month. If he improves for that experience, like so many do from this yard, then the son of Galileo could be hard to beat today. Maze Runner rates the pick of the remainder.

Not A Bad Oul Day has to be given the utmost respect having progressed from a mark of 53 to his current rating of 95 in 2017, winning on seven occasions. That said, the handicapper may have finally caught up with the five-year-old now. CASCAVELLE remains comparatively unexposed and he made a winning debut for this yard back in August. A 5lb rise for that success appears to be fair, especially as further improvement cannot be discounted. Keep Believing is another last-time-out winner to note, while Tribal Path has an each-way shout.

BRENDAN BRACKEN was disappointing when last seen at the track as he only beat home one rival behind Sir John Lavery in August but the veteran campaigner has had a break since and, if returning in peak form, should outclass his rivals. Spanish Tenor posted a career best effort when third to Psychedelic Funk in a Group 3 at Tipperary last time and is one to firmly consider along with Onenightidreamed, who was fifth in that same contest.

DROMBEG DREAM knocked on the door at Listowel last time and is backed to go one better here following just a 1lb rise for that half-length defeat in similar underfoot conditions. Moltoir was another improver when he also finished second last time and is sure to play a part if proving just as effective stepping up from six furlongs to a mile. Conquest let down favourite backers last time but can't be discounted considering his connections, while Joseph O'Brien has employed Pat Smullen aboard Sebastiano Ricci.

FOCUS ON HEAVEN was outpaced in the closing stages when second over 7f at Limerick last time and is expected to benefit from this step up in distance now moving into handicap company. Upgraded wasn't beaten far over a mile at Gowran last time and is expected to be thereabouts off an opening mark of 87. C&D winner Elm Grove is 10lb higher than when scoring at Clonmel in May but is no forlorn hope for a place.

6

TEMPLEMARY BOY nearly landed a Dundalk gamble last week when second to an all-weather specialist and could make amends here for connections. He came home well over this distance and the return to grass shouldn't deter the four-year-old, who is rated just 1lb higher on this surface. Annie Irish seldom runs a bad race and looks suited by conditions, while Dazzle The Duel is another who caught the eye last time out when third and is hard to ignore.

FREE RANGER may have needed his first outing since April when second to a potentially smart type at Listowel last month and is expected to improve on that effort here. The three-year-old receives 3lb from Dermot Weld's Newcross, who was disappointing last time out on heavy ground when well-backed beforehand. More is expected from Pipes Of Peace given time, while the shortlist is completed by Roman Seera, who outran her odds of 66/1 when third in a maiden four weeks ago.
