Pocketwood doesn't look too harshly treated at present but his losing run stretches back to October 2005 and others make more appeal for win-only purposes. Fregate Island and Wild Pitch are quite closely matched on a formline through Lemonette, but preference is for the top-weight SWAN QUEEN. She's only 3lb higher in the weights than for her pleasing reappearance run at Salisbury last month and she remains open to considerable amounts of improvement.

The hat trick hunting Phluke is clearly in good order at present but he only scraped home last time and the handicapper may now have his measure following a further 2lb rise in the ratings. Gloved Hand and Irony have to enter the reckoning following their recent pipe-openers at Newbury and Newmarket respectively, but a chance is taken on NEON BLUE. He tends to save his best days for York but went well off only 2lb lower at Newmarket last month.

BAKHOOR produced a fine display when making a winning reappearance at Leicester late last month and is fancied to build on that effort today and maintain her unbeaten record for current handler William Jarvis. If the 6lb penalty scuppers her plans, Keyaki looks most likely to take advantage. Linda Green has been in excellent form since returning to action this term but now has a career high mark to overcome.

NIJOOM DUBAI stuck to her task in determined fashion when finding only one too good on her debut over 5f at Newbury last month and the extra yardage on offer today looks sure to suit. Ruff Diamond ran with credit on his first public appearance and could be seen in a much better light on this quicker surface. Bosun Breese is also entitled to have learnt a great deal from his initial racecourse experience and he could chase the principals home.

Awwal Malika was pitched into Group 2 company following a promising debut; she's certainly capable of winning a race but it's a surprise to see this stoutly-bred filly racing over the minimum trip today. Lady Lafitte and Everygrainofsand should find a race one day but preference here is for EXCESSIVE who did nothing wrong at Nottingham and looks to have been found a reasonable opportunity.

With the yard going great guns and Darryll Holland a positive booking, Oi Vay Joe is a definite for the short-list. Slate and Bold Abbott are respected but don't look that well handicapped and preference is for AZEEMA who stayed on well to win her maiden at Chester and could have been let in lightly by the assessor.
