The rock solid BOUNCING KING appears to hold the key here as after a series of placings he finally got his head in front for a well deserved win at Worcester. The 5-y-o will find this track a lot stiffer but after that confidence booster he can win again probably at the expense of Troys Run who won over three miles here last month. Of the rest, few appear to hold real chances but both the mares at the bottom of the weights, Eliza Doalott and Happily Ever After, can be expected to figure after some promise shown in bumpers.

Crathorne has not yet matched last winter's form over timber and today makes his fencing debut. At the bottom First Fought has good figures but maybe slighty flattered by them and has to step up a gear to challenge the likely market leader NOBEL who was extremely unfortunate not to have added to his Sedgefield win when running out here last time. Taking to fences like a duck to water, the Nicky Richards 6-y-o is taken to recoup losses and win this.

Both Super Revo and Maringo have been placed on their two previous outings and could again be prominent and HIGH FIVE is getting better as he gets more experience over the bigger stuff, culminating with a win here last month. Behind him on that occasion was the Lucinda Russel trained Gee Aker Malayo, who today gets a 3lb pull. It may not be enough to overturn placings with the improving selection. If Tee-Jay were to regain his best form from last year then the Micky Hammond-trained 11-y-o would present a danger but needs to overcome two moderate showings.

Inn From The Cold looked a promising sort a couple of years ago and since has been lightly raced. However at Perth last time gave an indication that the better times were returning and could gain a place today. It's A Roofer has found handicap life a lot tougher since putting in some decent work in novice company but holds a chance, as does Nae Bother At All who ran two solid races in maiden class before disppointing at Sedgefield. The top weight looks the main threat to the bottom weight the Richard Guest-trained JENDALI LAD. The 6-y-o returns to hurdles after some decent efforts over fences and with such little to carry he can mark his return to timber by winning this one.

SIR ALF looks the one these grand hunter chases have to look to as the 11-y-o sets the standard. Always in the mix in these type of races he can be almost assured of a safe round. Of his rivals, Fifth Column has been racing under Rules with credit and can make a race of it as can Toms Party, another with decent form over fences. Firion King has been performing well in point-to-points and looks the best of the rest.

Beggars Cap made a nice handicap debut at Perth coming second in an average race and will be thereabouts again today in a race where not to many look to hold winning opportunities. Shropshirelass has solid selling class form but it is the returning MASTER NIMBUS who gets the vote. With easily the most solid form on display the only doubt is that of fitness. If John Quinn has the 7-y-o fully wound up then he can bring down the curtain on today's proceedings with a win.
