BIRD ON THE WIRE finished on the coattails of an in-form rival over C&D last month and, if the application of cheekpieces eke out more improvement, he could be difficult to beat. West Lawn remains unexposed and she is feared most from 2lb above her win here in March, while Tokaramore drops slightly in class and is another to consider. Grannie Annie may improve now sent handicapping and she is worth monitoring in the betting market.

THE ELECTRICIAN was a ready winner over C&D on his latest outing and this unexposed chaser could have much more to offer from a 6lb higher mark. Mike Smith's charge may need to repel the challenge of the top-rated Follow Your Arrow, along with the consistent Cool Country, who looks likely to give his running once more. Boy's On Tour drops in class and he can't be ruled out either.

In an open affair marginal preference is for LEESWOOD LILY, who reverts to hurdles following a below par effort over the larger obstacles. The nine-year-old was not disgraced in stronger company prior to her latest run and, though she remains 3lb above her last winning mark, the mare can regain the winning thread. Lord Caprio is likely to be popular amongst punters following his C&D second last month, while Baraboy, who finished fourth in the same race, isn't without a chance either.

CHARLE BRUNE was last seen over hurdles finishing third at Sedgefield in November and the nine-year-old had a recent pipe opener on the Flat at Wolverhampton, which he is entitled to improve from. My Macho Man has a definite chance if backing up his recent third at Kelso, while Annies Regatta is capable of being in the mix having filled the runner-up spot at Perth last month.

STONEY MOUNTAIN hasn't looked a natural over fences, including when getting off the mark here in April, but he is 35lb higher than his nearest rival on official ratings and the step back up to 3m, along with first-time cheekpieces, are likely to aid his cause. Storm Lorenzo didn't go on as expected in handicap company over hurdles and it will be hoped that a switch to chasing could make a difference, but recent Perth winner Fiston Du Mou is preferred for forecast purposes.

Connections of FREE CHAKARTE teamed up to win this event 12 months ago with Koi Dodville, who went on to land a decent handicap at Cheltenham earlier this year, and the son of Highland Reel boasts a similar profile, having won on the Flat in France before being purchased. National Charter finished third over 1m6f at Wetherby when last seen for William Haggas and she commands respect along with Jad Mahal, with his yard boasting a strong record with juveniles over the years.

Christian Williams has excelled with his staying chasers and his MOTOWN LAKE is fancied to follow up last month's success at Ffos Las. The six-year-old gelding has been given a 5lb rise for that win but has the scope to handle that and could prove hard to beat. Prince Dundee, who is representing last year's winning trainer and jockey, was third behind Wavelength last month and is respected having won three times at this track in the past. Deluxe Range didn't jump with much fluency at Kelso last time but could go well if putting a better round together.

Alan King won't have many runners at this track and the Highclere-owned RESTITUTION is an interesting contender in the finale. The four-year-old gelding was last seen when chasing Clear The Runway home at Southwell last month and that form has been boosted since with the winner going in a further two times. Tom Cannon is again on board and has his only ride of the afternoon on the son of Frankel. Cyrus Keep won this race last year and gets in off the same mark, so any market support for him would be of interest. Cash Again hasn't been seen since February at Sedgefield but has gone well fresh before.
