Difficult to fault these days when barefoot and focused, JAVA DES CHAMPS (12) is confirmed under these conditions, latterly flew up at Laon, and can double up. She will still face considerable opposition from JAVA DES CAILLONS (10) who put in quite the finish at Rambouillet, and the engagement of David Thomain will only work in her favour. JALNA DES HAYES (7) made fine progress over the summer and returns to racing barefoot with every chance of making up for her Lisieux disappointment. Facile winner on turf last time out, JILDA DE FONTAINE (13) has an ideal entry here and, competitively-shod, will be no soft touch.

Although never far from losing focus, JET BLACK (12) is nevertheless an excellent servant in this category. Unraced since early August, he is however competitively-shod and can get straight back down to business. It is unlikely to be all plane sailing though given the fine progress JIMMY DU CLOS (11) has made over recent months. It took 17 attempts but JOYAU D'EVER (6) finally lost his maiden label mid-October and, in similar form, can again figure prominently. Sanctioned on re-entry, JAG HAUFOR (7) has nonetheless been a model of consistency and, with modified shoeing, can make amends for his Ecommoy sanction.

Gr.2 winner at home in Sweden, CICERO T.G. (7) made no bones about winning first time out for the Bazire stable and, barefoot on the front line, can repeat. Well-regarded and recent 6th in the Criterium des 5 Ans, IGREC DE CELLAND (6) drops back to a more reasonable level and will be no soft touch. IDEAL DU ROCHER (2) is one of the more faithful elements in the field, is confirmed at the venue and, unbeaten with Eric Raffin in the sulky, will be dangerous. HEDIC GEMA (1) was particularly impressive earlier in the year and, barefoot for the occasion, is unlikely to disappoint.

After winning 3-on-the-trot during the summer, HEROS DES LOYAUX (2) finished a valiant runner-up on re-entry and looks the horse to beat this time. HAND FULL (4) finished a place behind him that day and should again figure prominently, but may first have to defer to the delicate but immensely useful HEROS DES LOYAUX (2) who showed promising signs on his recent comeback. HIRONDELLE FEE (12) is 25m worse off but is on the way back up and fitted with front pads this time.

Very well-entered here and barefoot for his first objective of the autumn term, INCONTOURNABLE (7) looks a serious candidate for success. That being said, INTERACTIVE (2) is fitted with front pads, just as she was at Vincennes, and will be no pushover. ISTAR DES RACQUES (3) will have come on for his return run and can challenge for a spot on the podium, as can the Laval-loving IROISE QUESNOT (6) who is barefoot for her return to competition.

A revelation on his recent monte debut, GALET STED (10) is forced to give away 25m this time but still looks capable of repeating. JEWEL DE BANVILLE (2) has 2 races under his belt, starts on the front line, and will have a lot to offer if Paul Ploquin can keep him trotting. Presently at the top of his game under harness, COOL KRONOS (3) gets an Alexandre Abrivard ride for his monte debut and is not expected to disappoint. Justifiably well-regarded in the ridden code, JUNON (4) will be no pushover in this category.

An excellent colt that has yet to disappoint when barefoot, JAPPELOUP TURGOT (4) left a good impression on re-entry at Enghien and, from the front line, should be able to wrap this up. Matthieu Abrivard will nevertheless be keeping a watchful eye on the similarly well-placed JOLIKOVA D'ARIANE (1) who gave a good account of herself at Vincennes 12 days ago. Excellent at the same venue when shod as he is this time, JINGLE DU PONT (9) can defy the 25m handicap and finish in the mix at the business end. JUST A BOY D'ALESA (8) did not miss a beat getting back to his best and, even though shod this time, still looks a player.

Impressive to date and solid on her recent return to competition, KIM FOREVER (6) will have come on for the run and can make her Laval debut a winning one. Given a short breather after failing to fire at Le Mont-Saint-Michel, KALIF LANDIA (5) is entrusted to Alexandre Abrivard for the occasion and can more than make amends. KETAMINE D'UZE (10) started to come good again over the summer and, despite not having raced for 2 months, she will still have her chances. KAID MARTIN (4) has yet to step a foot out of place, is confirmed under these conditions and, even though stepping up in class, must be respected.

A fairly modest bunch this but competitive nevertheless. GUNNAR LA MESANGE (9) does not benefit from an ideal entry but he is better than most here and current form bodes well for his chances. Principal opposition is likely to take the form of FILOU DE PAM (14) who can boast a good record in the amateur category. Hard to fault when she can keep her action together, GUINGAMP OLIVERIE (3) will not be far off the mark if applied. GITAN DU LUPIN (13) returns to the harness code in search of redemption and, given his last amateur effort, can put on a decent show.
