Thurles third Serious Weapon is gradually getting his act together and should be thereabouts, while The Last Hurrah stepped up on his debut run at Gowran earlier this month. There was plenty of confidence behind Winner Take All on his reappearance after a lay-off at Punchestown and he should go close, but it might be worth giving BACK TO BID another chance. He disappointed on his hurdles bow at Fairyhouse but has won a bumper in effortless fashion since and still has time on his side.

Akarem, runner-up in a valuable 1m4f handicap on the Flat at Doncaster last month, made a pleasing debut over timber behind Border Castle at Haydock and warrants respect even though the winner flopped next time. Dinarobin would probably have won had he not made a mess of the last at Gowran earlier this month, while Finger Onthe Pulse's turn can't be far away. But this can go to LINE BALL, who is a potentially smart recruit judged by the way he won his bumper at Punchestown last month.

The Last Stand was all out to beat Ballygally Bay at Fairyhouse earlier this month but can confirm the form on slightly better terms. Orpen Guama has improved since losing out to Miss Caruso at Limerick last month but both look held on the form book. King Of Merlia beat Kells Castle and Clear Riposte at Gowran, but may struggle to confirm earlier Navan running with ARTIST'S MUSE. Ted Walsh's filly could be called the winner a long way out at Fairyhouse next time and is improving at a rate of knots.

Just beaten off a similar mark at Navan last time, TRAGIC LOVER looks back to his best and this slightly longer trip will suit. Sea To Sky finished second at Limerick and Gowran last month and is another for the short-list along with the novice Syroco, who is weighted to reverse last month's Punchestown running with Game Ball Ali. Max Time has dropped to a reasonable mark and Lagudin could make the frame if putting a poor run at Clonmel behind him.

JUSTIFIED's defeat of Wild Passion at Punchestown last month stamped him as a top-class novice and it will take a smart sort to lower his colours. He had also beaten Doctor Linton easing down at the same course earlier. Kill Devil Hill improved from his debut run over fences behind Wild Passion to win his next two starts (Mansony behind latest), though they were over an extra three furlongs and he could get outpaced here. Missed That is held in high regard and had a nice confidence-booster at Navan recently but this opposition is much tougher.

ZUM SEE is improving with experience and can overturn recent Fairyhouse form with Old Flame on 9lb better terms. He has nothing to fear from Healy's Pub, Cregg House or The Boys In Green on the book. Green Belt Flyer chased home the classy Watson Lake at Naas last month after winning at the same course earlier but the handicapper may have over-reacted to those runs and he faces a stiff task today. Clonmel winner Charging may be best of the rest but this drop in distance could be a problem.

Arctic Spectacle failed to build on his Punchestown run at Gowran last time, but there should be more to come from Fourball who looked very green at Fairyhouse on his debut. Gripit N Tipit has a decent pedigree but another newcomer, Noel Meade's LORD LUMEY, is preferred today. By Lord Americo, he's reportedly been working well at home recently. Naas runner-up Shouldawoudacouda and winning pointer Tully Cross are others to consider.
