CONEY ISLAND was only just touched off at Navan on his second outing and was closely matched with subsequent winner Marakoushi on his debut. He shades the vote over Ball D'arc, who showed some signs of keenness when defeated earlier this month, but might settle more effectively in a first-time hood. It would be dangerous to write off Beau Mome after a disappointing Irish debut and Tesseract can give a good account if fully wound up for his return.

This race looks to revolve around Vigil, who finished fifth in the Cheltenham Champion Bumper for the second year running in March, and could prove tough to beat if replicating that form over hurdles. A 290-day absence might make him vulnerable to DON'T TOUCH IT, though, as that rival wasn't beaten far by the exciting Stone Hard at Gowran Park. A Toi Phil looked a little unlucky at Clonmel and might be worth another chance.

It might be worth taking a chance on the French import CAMPEADOR at the forecast prices, as he hacked up at Clairefontaine on his latest outing in July, and looks an exciting recruit for Gordon Elliott. Footpad is clearly a massive danger after he scored impressively on his Irish debut at Gowran Park, but Jer's Girl shouldn't be underestimated after she made short shrift of a decent field at Aintree earlier this month. Rashaan has yet to taste defeat over timber and completes the shortlist in a fascinating contest.

DOLLAR AND A DREAM encountered plenty of market support at Cheltenham in November but he could only manage to plug on into fourth over the extended two mile trip. The step up to 2m2f should suit and he could prove tough to beat. Baroque Style arrives fresh from a convincing victory at Navan and might have more to offer despite being hit with a 10lb hike in the weights. Deano has run well in defeat recently and looks a player, while any market support behind Spacious Sky, a stablemate of the selection, might be worth noting.

I'm All You Need warrants plenty of respect on her handicap debut despite disappointing in Grade 3 company at Navan last time, but TREAT YOURSELF edges the vote. Arthur Moore's gelding had Pires (fourth), Dysios (fifth), Dandridge (sixth), The King Of Brega (seventh) and Hash Brown (eighth) all behind when third in the competitive Easyfix Handicap Chase at Fairyhouse and he looks sure to mount a bold bid lining up off the same mark of 119. A Sizing Network also has a chance on his first venture in handicap company.

Willie Mullins has had Champagne Fever and Vautour disappoint him in the last couple of runnings of this event, but it's still extremely difficult to look past DOUVAN. The big, imposing gelding was pretty faultless when winning each of his four starts over hurdles last season and he looked a natural when scoring easily on his chasing debut at Navan some five weeks ago. Barring accidents, he should have too much class for these rivals. Having said that, Ttebbob was been mightily impressive, particularly in terms of jumping, in both starts over fences to date and his aggressive style of racing will put pressure on his three opponents, while Sizing John is no mug either but he does look held by the favourite on hurdles form.

Bacardys is sure to have plenty of supporters representing Willie and Patrick Mullins and we already know that he possesses a fair level of ability having readily won a point-to-point contest at Quakerstown in April, but a chance is taken on Jessica Harrington's newcomer THIRSTY WORK. The Robin Des Champs gelding was spoke about in glowing terms by his trainer in a stable report earlier this year and he is certainly bred to have plenty of talent being a half-brother to multiple winner Burn And Turn. Grotesque is another interesting player having won between the flags at Tinahely in March.
