Maarek had dropped to a workable mark prior to finishing third in a Listed race over C&D recently but a 7lb rise for that effort will make life tougher for him tonight. MO HENRY has filled second place in his last two starts at Dundalk and he was beaten by less than a length in a competitive 30-runner race at the Curragh back in August. Others to consider are Kupa River and Bubbly Bellini.

The Broghie Man arguably sets the standard but the preference is for CHEERING, who caught the eye when staying on to finish fourth in a competitive Naas maiden 10 days ago. Given how well Ballydoyle representatives tend to improve for their debuts this daughter of War Front could take plenty of beating this afternoon. Gottardo and Soffia are the pick of the remainder.

COMPASS HILL has to carry top weight but he overcame that to finish a head second at Limerick earlier in the month. That form has also been boosted with the winner being successful again a few days later under a penalty. Fabric has a solid each-way chance based on the pick of her form from the UK, while Doonard Prince and Landline are others who make the shortlist.

TASHMAN put in a career best when finishing second at Tipperary at the beginning of the month and a reproduction of that effort today would make him very hard to beat. Lone Voice made a promising start to his racing career at Gowran Park recently and is entitled to improve. Any market support for Escapability and Stoic Soul would have to be noted, while Viscount Wilson has an each-way chance.

BIGGER AND BETTER impressed on his stable bow for Tony Martin over course and distance earlier this month when second on his first start for a year and could go one better here. A 3lb rise doesn't look too harsh and, if handling potentially heavy ground, looks the one to beat. The hat-trick chasing Voyageofdiscovery continues to win by short margins and hasn't gone up too much in the weights as a result, while What Wonders Weave is another name to note.

The suspicion is that Val De Ferbet will find this contest too sharp and he wasn't exactly at his best when last seen in a race over fences at Listowel last month. Art Of Security reappears after a 181-day absence and might be using this as a pipe-opener before switching back to the National Hunt sphere, while Great Tango is interesting with champion jockey-elect Colin Keane booked. Pat Smullen's title hopes are diminishing but he has a good record when teaming up with Tracey Collins and CALGATH has plenty in his favour here despite stamina reservations.

Espoir D'soleil has run well in defeat the last twice after starting her campaign during the summer and looks open to more improvement than most of these, while Upgraded has a similar profile for John Oxx but looks held on her last run behind GENTIL J. Second to a smart performer last time out, the four-year-old should appreciate this step up in trip more than most and looks on a fair mark of 81. Rosin Box arrives in the form of her career and looks sure to be ridden positively once more by Shane Foley.
