In an open race, marginal preference is for KING OF TONGA, who won over C&D earlier in the month and he was only beaten three lengths off this mark at Wetherby on Sunday. The recent Wolverhampton winner Red Walls is an obvious threat to the selection, although he remains a maiden on turf. Others to note are Dapper Man and High Security.

YAHSAT displayed plenty of ability when only beaten a head into second on her racecourse debut at Newmarket a couple of weeks ago. The daughter of Dandy Man should improve for that run and the experience she gained could prove vital. Ramazan is arguably the most eye-catching newcomer, having cost 130,000 euros, and he is a half-brother to a dual Group 3 winner. Gulmarg and Jm Jungle are both related to plenty of winners and they should not be underestimated.

LOVE YOUR WORK has been in outstanding form in recent months and that includes a decisive victory at Beverley last week. A 5lb penalty for that success is a slight concern, but he should be capable of defying it. Quoteline Direct has made the frame in his last two starts and he should be thereabouts once again, while Spantik and Swinton Noon complete the shortlist.

EILEAN DUBH showed a determined attitude to land the spoils at Newcastle and may be able to follow up with a reproduction of that performance. The ex-French four-year-old has only been raised 2lb and appears the one to beat, although Valorant demands plenty of respect on her comeback for a new yard. Tangled is only 1lb higher than his last winning mark and completes the shortlist.

In this competitive contest, marginal preference is for HOOKED ON YOU, who shed the maiden tag over C&D earlier this month. The daughter of Starspangledbanner begins handicap life on a fair mark and may be able to continue her ascendancy for the in-form Karl Burke stable. Leap Abroad has been knocking on the door, while Kentucky Rose is another to take seriously.

Behind a trio of well-bred Godolphin-owned three-year-olds on debut at Newmarket earlier in the month, MISSED THE CUT is bound to improve for that effort and the drop in trip could see him to better effect. Al Baahy found only one too strong on each of his final two starts for Sir Michael Stoute and Kevin Frost forked out 50,000gns for him. Arab Cinder shaped with promise in both starts last year so merits respect too.

it often pays to be prominent in big-field handicaps around here and handily drawn in stall three, everything looks in place for DIVINE CONNECTION to produce a career-best on turf, having shown up well on the all-weather of late. There wasn't much between Willing To Please and Susie Javea when they met at Beverley recently and both are likely to be thereabouts here. Others to note include Amalfi Salsa, Odd Socks Havana and Otto Oyl.
