IVORY MOON was really impressive when winning on her debut at Chester and although the penalty will make things tougher, the Cheveley Park-entered filly should be more than good enough to shoulder it on this occasion. Both Rapid Deployment and Perfect Strike have failed to see out 6f on their two racecourse appearances so may well do better down to the minimum trip, whilst Richard Hannon's Sinova warrants a market check.

HAVANA SMILE has been reinvented as a sprinter this term and was successful over C&D in May. The gelded son of Havana Grey was a creditable third over track and trip under Toby Moore last month and if the newly-applied cheekpieces are able to spark some improvement, he should go close. Always Perfect has won two of her last three and makes obvious appeal from a 2lb higher mark, while Isle Of Lismore heads the remainder.

Not the strongest standard set by those with experience and it is newcomer MUST BE LOVE that is fancied to claim the spoils. The Gosdens can do little wrong at present and their representative makes considerable appeal on paper. She's a half-sister to the useful Superior Choice and will likely want a bit further in time, but this still looks a good starting point. Empress Jingu shaped with some promise on her debut and looks certain to progress. Watch out for Ghaiyyath Dream as well.

Having justified favouritism on his second outing at Kempton, CLIVE THE WRITER looks one to keep the right side of. The Calyx gelding scored with enough in hand to suggest that an official rating of 79 is workable and he edges the vote over Whiskey Bent. Dylan Cunha's colt opened his account over 7f in France last month and a further step up in trip could unlock more improvement. Tiora Time and Cilician are others of interest.

Huscal gained compensation for some creditable efforts in defeat when making all on the all-weather at Lingfield last month and is dangerous to overlook in his current vein of form. That said, a 4lb rise demands more of the four-year-old, which could leave the door open for PHILANTHROPIST. James Fanshawe's charge is racing off the same mark at his latest second at Kempton and reverting to turf holds no fear. Christian David continues to ease in the handicap and is a feasible alternative.

Allegrino has been dependable and has won three of his last six starts. The son of Oasis Dream has only gone up 8lb since beginning life in handicap company and could still have more to give. However, recent Chester winner Dream Vega and the handicap debutant VANILLA SKIES are still much less exposed. The latter could be the one open to the most progression now she goes with a tongue-tie added. The daughter of Pinatubo can significantly boost her paddock value with a first career success here.

Del Corso saw a hat-trick bid hit the buffers at Newmarket last time and is capable of bouncing back given he is still of low mileage. However, this represents a step in class and TIPSY TIGER could be the way to go now he has the benefit of his belated seasonal debut to draw upon. Generally reliable, the top weight competes off just 1lb above his last winning mark, which came in this race under identical conditions in 2024. Molo Del Palazzo and Royal Poetry complete the shortlist.
