Verdict

Red Wine ran some fair races on the Flat during the summer and cannot be discounted on his return to hurdling for a stable in fine form. Slavonic Lake and Goldan Jess are interesting juveniles making their handicap debuts but face stiff tasks against their elders and a chance is taken on TERENZIUM who has ran well here on his last two starts and can make it third-time-lucky.

Verdict

Hard Act To Follow lost all chance when making a bad blunder four fences from home on his reappearance. He was close on the leaders heels at the time and has to come into the reckoning. Aleron, Silver Knight and Lothian Falcon are all in good form, while Flying Enterprise is respected after a decent effort last time. However, the safest play in a trappy affair is to side with last year's winner LEADING MAN who defends an unbeaten record at the track and is much better than he has shown so far this season.

Verdict

Totally Scottish is capable of winning this but much depends on his mood, while Mith Hill has run well on both starts this season and he should not be far away for a trainer returning to form. However, IN DREAM'S finished a respectable second at Chepstow on his reappearance and that run marks him down as the one to beat here. Sea Cadet looked held by Low Reactor before falling at the last fence here recently, while Victor Daly won his chasing debut and there should be more to come. However, a chance is taken on winning point-to-pointer COOLDINE LAD who could go well at a decent price on his chasing debut. General Hardi was unlucky not to hang on last time and is a credible alternative.

Verdict

Daldini makes a quick reappearance after winning at the weekend. His talented claiming jockey helps to ease his heavy burden. Our Jasper has hit form with a vengeance and looks sure to be thereabouts but JIMMY BOND, who won this race last year off a 5lbs lower mark, deserves to get his head in front again after some fine efforts in between. Edmo Yewkay goes well here and should not be far away.
