Paul Nicholls won this 12 months ago with Ask For Glory and connections look for a repeat here with FAMOSO, who has been crying out for a step up in trip having been outpaced at the business end in his two appearances to date. The 175,000-euro buy, who is a half-brother to Tornado Flyer, is tried in a first-time tongue-tie and is likely to improve now jumping obstacles. Stablemate Broken Halo shaped well for a long way on his Doncaster return and is foolish to rule out, while Nicky Henderson's point-to-point winner Will Carver is another set to appreciate the move up in distance. The form of Seven No Trumps' Ludlow third was franked when the winner followed up at Carlisle last week, while Mocacreme Has and Inishbiggle are others to take seriously following some smart efforts this term.

Duc Kauto has a good record at this venue and is 1lb lower than when second over course and distance on his last visit to the Somerset track. However, he hasn't been seen since last summer and it could be the case that a drop in trip sees the match-fit DONT BE ROBIN take this. Richenda Ford's nine-year-old was third over 3m1f here in December and is 3lb lower than when third in this 12 months ago. Baignard has seen plenty of action here this season and looks to have been given a chance by the assessor, so he is also considered.

Balko Saint has placed in all three outings to date, including when third in a Cheltenham Grade 2 behind Duffle Coat in November. He is sure to have a say at the finish here, but a chance is taken on Gary Moore's ROBIN'S DREAM, who looks a winner in waiting. The five-year-old gave the expensive purchase Gallyhill plenty to think about when second at Newbury in January, before looking set to make his presence felt at Sandown last month before falling when yet to be asked any questions three from home. Chives, a half-brother to three-time winner Mill Green, is an interesting newcomer for Nicky Henderson, while That Ole Chestnut also makes some appeal and could hit the frame.

Earlofthecotswolds returned to winning ways in a jumpers' bumper at Kempton last month and is respected now moving back over fences, though preference is for MOLINEAUX, who kept on at the finish when runner-up over 2m here last time and promises to be suited by this step up in distance. Paddy's Poem has been running well in defeat at Sandown this term and could also take a hand on these terms.

MALINA OCARINA kept on strongly on the run-in when striking over 2m at Huntingdon last week and is expected to defy a 7lb penalty to follow up. Fool To Cry remains 6lb higher than when scoring over 2m4f at Hexham on her penultimate start and could appreciate the return to 0-100 company, having been well held in a 0-110 at Ffos Las latest. Miss Harriett, Fleur Du Seuil and Tamango are others to consider in a competitive affair.

AKARITA LIGHTS ran a blinder when second behind the useful Fawsley Spirit (touched off since) on heavy ground at Market Rasen last time and with today's slicker surface likely to suit better, he can go close off a 4lb higher mark. Golden Emblem arrives following solid win and placed efforts at Market Rasen and Musselburgh respectively and she could be in the shake-up again, while Soyouthinksoagain, Bellevarde Express and Project Mars are other names to note in a competitive handicap.

Caid Du Berlais has took high rank amongst the hunter chasers for some time and the dual Punchestown Festival scorer demands respect on his first outing in 355 days, while Conrad Hastings has an even longer absence to overcome but is interesting all the same. However, DASHING PERK could land the spoils on his first outing in this sphere. He may be that bit fitter than his main rivals, having run as recently as December, and a couple of efforts at Aintree earlier in the season were encouraging. The 10-year-old is also a course winner.
