SALLY'S SWANSONG is expected to land the hat-trick for Eric Alston in the opener with a 4lb rise for her most recent C&D success not likely to stop her going in again. The in-form mare defied an unpractical draw from stall 10 when last sighted at the Midlands track, so expect her to be bounced out and ridden close to the pace from stall seven with a view to quickening up in the straight and putting her rivals to the sword inside the final furlong. Stablemate Ballarina has come back down to a workable mark and she's shortlisted, along with Gran Canaria Queen.

ALASKAN BULLET has failed to recapture his juvenile form which included Yarmouth success in a competitive maiden on his racecourse debut, but he remains relatively unexposed after five career starts for Michael Bell and should prove too good for these rivals now eased into claiming company. The son of Kodiac has failed to land a blow in three hot handicaps this year but Michael Bell's charge receives a weight-for-age allowance and sets a good standard, rated 86. Of the others, keep an eye on Noverre To Go, who also takes a drop in class for Ron Harris and Efistorm, who displayed no signs of throwing the towel in at the age of 11 when notching in a Goodwood handicap last time.

Lady Mandy appeared to need every yard of the extended 2m when Ian Williams and Ryan Powell teamed up to land a similar handicap here three days ago, so this 1m6f trip might be on the sharp side and MERCHANTS RETURN edged the vote. Lydia Pearce's charge was mugged on the line here over the extended 1m4f last month but remains well handicapped off this 2lb higher mark and is worth another look having clearly responded to the first-time visor on that occasion. Mick Channon's Vexillum rates best of the rest.

Sash Of Honour, highest rated off these (82), might be worth another chance now tried with the first-time blinkers but MAUN VRAT's Kempton form behind Bedazzled is working out well and she's taken to open her account at the third time of asking. The Montjeu filly stayed on the same pace inside the final furlong over 1m4f when hinting at a step up in trip and she's open to more improvement at this stage. Toptempo and Perfect Heart add further spice to an intriguing maiden.

Restaurateur has been knocking on the door and can be given another chance tonight with blinkers equipped for the first time, while Willies Wonder merits consideration lining up off the same mark as when getting within three parts of a length of winning over C&D latest. The vote, however, goes to SKY CROSS. He showed a likeable attitude when scoring over 1m at Kempton last time a 3lb rise may not be enough to stop him if he arrives in the same stubborn mood.

POOR DUKE confirmed promise shown on debut when chasing home subsequent Group 3 third Indigo Lady over an extended 7f at Yarmouth latest (pulled 3-lengths clear of the rest) and, likely to improve further for this step up in trip, he could make it third time lucky. Sunblazer must enter calculations following his much improved effort over C&D just less than two weeks ago, while Unison and first-time visored Pinarius make up the shortlist.

Resplendent Alpha warrants plenty of respect on the back of his impressive Brighton success, but MISS DASHWOOD looks the one to beat. James Fanshawe's filly went down by the narrowest of margins on her handicap debut over 1m at Kempton last time and the way she finished off that race suggests that stepping back up in trip tonight can only help. Rawaafed ran third in maiden company here latest and cannot be ruled out on his first start at handicap level.

SIOUXPERHERO certainly wasn't stopping when landing the spoils over an extended 1m at Epsom last time and, with the third from that event subsequently franking the form, he gets the vote to defy a 4lb rise. Tis Rock 'N' Roll has reached the frame in each of his four starts so far this year (winning two) and looks sure to be in the shake-up once again, while two-time C&D scorer Ishikawa is worthy of consideration after a fine placed effort at Leicester last time.
