Verdict
KNAPPERS HILL hasn't been able to get a fair crack at chasing, but he showed enough in the Rowland Meyrick to suggest he retains plenty of ability. Paul Nicholls' charge enters the veteran ranks for the first time and could prove too strong, though Le Milos offers a real threat having finished second at Sandown last month. Guard Your Dreams is also noted.
Expert View Verdict
The recent rain is a concern for the class angle in the race KNAPPERS HILL but he did run well for a long way on soft ground until his stamina gave way in the Rowland Meyrick last time so he should cope with it here. A former Grade 2 winner over hurdles and fences he has proven he retains his ability after a lay off so can defy a generous mark dropped back to his optimum distance. Plenty of his opponents can be given a chance but is Fugitif who is feared most given he's proven with cut in the ground. The former December Gold Cup winner went far too fast last time but did run well to a point and he should be able to take a lead off the bottom weight here. Last year's winner Le Milos also has to be respected having dropped back to his last winning mark with conditions likely to bring his stamina into play.
