BRAZEN BELLE returned to winning ways with an impressive victory over this trip at Lingfield nine days ago and she is hard to oppose, despite having to carry a 6lb penalty. Good Earth is another recent winner who has to be considered but he faces a tougher test under a 5lb penalty. Others to note are Got No Dollars, Molly Shaw and Sovereign Slipper.

PENGUIN ISLAND took a significant step forward when finishing a close third over 7f here a month ago and she will be hard to stop based on that evidence. Claim The Stars struggled in a valuable sales race on his most recent outing but he is a player based on his previous form. Harb is a proven winner but does have to carry a penalty, while Washraa completes the shortlist.

RUN TO FREEDOM struggled in a very competitive contest at Ascot last time, but his previous form is much more encouraging and he can be given another chance in an easier race today. Open Wide hit the crossbar here on Monday and is an obvious threat if turned out again, while Tomouh edges out Nelson Gay to be the pick of the remainder.

MOON ISLAND has done little wrong in three starts in novice races and she could exploit an opening mark of 80 on her debut in handicap company. There are plenty of potential dangers, though, including recent Leicester scorer Carbon, who has done nothing but improve in four starts to date, and Astaroth, who has won four of his last five. Unilateralism and Incumbent also warrant plenty of respect.

EXCEEDINGLY REGAL gets a tentative vote in a fiercely competitive handicap. William Knight's charge showed a likeable attitude when making all over C&D in August and ran to a similar level when fourth, also over track and trip, in a much better race last month. With Hector Crouch back on board (one from one on the three-year-old), he looks sure to give another good account. Lafan, Super Over, Isola Rossa and Hit The Heights also hold claims.

LOS CAMACHOS impressively notched a C&D double last month and a 3lb rise in the ratings for the latest of those wins might not be enough to stop him completing the hat-trick. Prize Fighting has been knocking on the door and he will likely be in the shake-up again, while Good Humor, Shoot To Kill and Ajrad also merit consideration in what looks an open handicap.

QUEEN OF BURGUNDY kept on well to draw clear of her rivals over 6f at this venue last time out and, considering she hit the line with plenty of conviction, this step back up to 7f should suit. The five-year-old mare gets the tentative vote off top weight, while Mister Freeze rates the most immediate danger having found just one rival too strong on each of his last two outings. Queen Sarabi has shown glimpses of promise and warrants respect.

In a competitive affair marginal preference goes to TAWTHEEF, who has been dropped to an appealing mark following a luckless effort last time out. After missing the break, the four-year-old was hampered after 3f and couldn't recover. That performance can be forgiven and he gets the nod, while C&D winner Chloellie rates the most immediate danger. Tell'em Nowt hit the line with plenty of conviction over 6f at Chelmsford last time out and he's another to consider.
