STYNES arrives here in the form of his life having won by five lengths at Brighton last month and he was an impressive winner over hurdles at Exeter on Thursday. If he has fully recovered from those exertions then he will be the one to beat. Motivate was very disappointing on his handicap debut but it is far too soon to be writing him off, while Jan Smuts and Northside Prince are others to note.

Another chance can be given to the lightly-raced FLYMETOTHESTARS, who would have learnt plenty on his handicap debut at Kempton last time when he was tapped wide throughout. This well-bred gelding can take a big step forward this evening and pick up his second race in three starts. Rasmee merits respect following his victory here on Friday night. All About Time and Renfrew Street complete the shortlist.

HIGHLAND LOTUS showed improvement for the step up to an extended mile at Wolverhampton last month and the daughter of Foxwedge looks capable of building on that success here. Crystal Dome was a winner at Redcar on his most recent start and could well be open to further improvement off an 8lb higher mark, while Ladofash and Rashford's Double are both entitled to show improved form now making their nursery debut.

ENMESHING posted an improved performance when fourth over 1m2f on his handicap bow at Chelmsford and is a potential improver now dropping back to a mile and fitted with first-time cheekpieces. So It's War kept on well to land some minor money over the extended 7f at Beverley last time and could play a minor role on his return from a break. Others worthy of consideration are recent Chelmsford second Let's Twist and grade-dropper Strong Man.

Eldorado Creek finished ninth in the Chesham and has shown enough ability to be thought capable of landing a moderate maiden if running to his official rating of 76. El Hombre is entitled to come on for his lacklustre Hamilton run on debut, while David Simcock's Ascot Day is worth a market check in a contest lacking depth. Preferred ahead of all, however, is DESERT SPORT, who makes some appeal on his Nottingham third in August.

LOCAL ARTIST returned to form at Beverley last month and looks to have found her level in this sort of grade. Connections will be disappointed if she cannot go very close and stall five looks a perfect position for the two-year-old to strike. Saxagogo is the only runner to have claimed victory but has disappointed when well backed in her last two races, while Foxy Boy ran well in third at Hamilton a fortnight ago to finish third despite losing a shoe.

WIMBOLDSLEY bounced back to form when a good second at Wolverhampton last time behind Harpers Ruby and the step back up to 6f should prove no inconvenience to the son of Milk It Mick, who remains on the same mark. Fortinbrass returns from a break for another winter campaign and should give a decent account, while Cool Strutter returns to the track he last won at and is of interest with Gemma Tutty's 3lb claim.

DREAM ALLY is a confirmed front runner and has solid claims with the excellent Clifford Lee claiming a valuable 5lb, with the young rider proving himself to be a good judge of pace on front runners throughout the season. Slim Chance has been in consistent form of late and merits consideration, while Rock Warbler and and Lilvanita are both capable of winning a contest like this.
