Shawaahid is improving for each visit to the track and although he's done his current mark no favours in hitting the crossbar the last twice, Richard Hannon's charge still warrants the utmost respect. Storm Ahead, Just Hiss, who lines up in search of his hat-trick, and Weekend Offender rarely run bad races, but preference is for ALYDAY near the foot of the weights. Representing leading connections and the most unexposed in the field, the daughter of Kyllachy never gave her running when last of eight at Newbury on her handicap debut in July and the Goodwood scorer is expected to leave that behind following an 84-day absence.

A strong renewal with a few well worth considering. Last year's winner Chancery looks to have plenty on his plate twelve months on, while Dolphin Vista needs to improve again if he is to supplement his latest Beverley success. Impressive Doncaster winner Central Square and the hat-trick-seeking Lord Ben Stack arrive here boasting progressive profiles and are seriously considered. Lower down the weights, however, the eye is immediately drawn to GREAT ORDER who was charging home when only narrowly denied over a mile at Newmarket and seems sure to be suited by the return to this longer trip.

Norfolk third Silver Line should find this a more realistic assignment than the Middle Park Stakes, in which he failed to beat any of his nine rivals home last time, but preference is for RICH AND FAMOUS, who looks to be on an upward curve, impressed when landing a distance maiden at Newmarket last time and looked one to keep on the right side of. Mill Reef second Perfect Angel is respected now eased in grade and could also take a hand.

CAPTAIN COLBY is on an upward curve and is taken to follow up his Portland victory, now granted this extra yardage, as he bids to overcome a 6lb rise. Get Knotted finished a half-length behind Roudee when second in the Ayr Silver Cup but reopposes that rival on 2lb better terms. Both have place claims, as do Intisaab, who could appreciate the return to 6f after running well over 7f in the Challenge Cup at Ascot latest, and recent Thirsk winner Mythmaker, for whom fast ground is key.

GULLIVER has shown a decent level of form in two starts - fourth at Newmarket's Guineas meeting and third when stepped up in distance here at the Dante Festival. The son of Sayif now has first-time blinkers and a tongue tie applied which should bring about further improvement from Hugo Palmer's charge. Newcomer Dubai Horizon merits consideration coming from a stout family, while Mojito, Etikaal and Buccaneers Cove look best of the remainder.

William Haggas merits respect with his runners at this venue and DAWN MISSILE showed signs that a return to form was imminent when finishing third at Yarmouth last time. The son of Nayef has ideal conditions here and should launch a bold bid despite carrying top weight. Odeon did well to finish third when giving away weight last time and should go well, while Gleese The Devil landed this off 1lb lower last year. Flower Power remains unexposed in this sphere and warrants a market check.

MARSH PRIDE looked in need of a step up in trip when a staying-on third over 1m at Musselburgh last time and Clifford Lee's valuable 5lb claim negates the rise in the ratings this four-year-old incurred for his win two starts ago. Carnageo and Hibou are others with leading claims following victories last time out, while Dance King and Stardrifter could represent some each-way value in the race.
