IRONHOUSE posted his best effort yet when second over the extended 5f last time and, noted as putting in his best work in the closing stages, is expected to go one better now granted this extra yardage. Ironsides and Rexburg are others to consider.
VIOLINS CRESCENDO built upon her debut success in a course maiden when finishing a creditable second over the extended 5f latest. Slightly outpaced in the finish that day, the selection can get back on the winning trail now upped in trip. Borrego Babe and Fiesta Express complete the shortlist.
APPEALING ZEPHYR was far from disgraced in second when upped in grade here last time and probably wouldn't need to improve much upon that effort to land the spoils now eased in grade. Illinois Pinup and Lucky Thunder can scrap it out for the silver medal.
Kristen's Lil Lady could improve upon her recent course fifth now eased in grade and has place claims along with last-time-out 6f runner-up Proud Y Bonita. For win purposes, however, OAK FLAT looks the one to be on. Having been outpaced over 6f here last month, this extra yardage looks ideal.
LAZEKA went down by just a head when stepped up to a mile here last month and gets the verdict now dropping back to a more suitable trip. Nataka Del Soul and Coalesce finished behind the selection last time and can battle it out for the minor honours again.
Hold The Advantage is considered a player now dropped markedly in grade but marginal preference is for MR. RANCHO VISTA, who found the trip on the sharp side here last time over an extended 6f and will relish the return to a mile. Vying For Victory and No Laughing Matter complete the shortlist.
Rollin' Rat has been running consistency over a mile lately and is expected to go well now dropped in trip. Preference, however, is for KAMEA, who overcame a tardy start to finish a creditable third over this C&D latest. If breaking on terms here, compensation could be in the offing. Arrivee Arrivee and Vision Of Roses look best of the rest.
GET MY FIX struggled in a $9,000 claimer when last sighted but had scored in a better race the time before and should return to the winning enclosure if back to his best in this. Pisa Playboy and Carnival Candyman are also noteworthy and look good value at the forecast prices.
Dream Nettie will no doubt thrive now dropped in class for this but SMARTY MATT gets the vote. He ran on with promise over 6f when last sighted and is expected to go even closer now stepped up half a furlong. Rocky Road completes the shortlist.
