An open-looking maiden and a tentative vote goes the way of David Wachman's PRECIOUS DREAM, who failed to land a blow in the closing stages of the 7f Galway contest she was last sighted in during the summer, but who could have strengthened up over the winter and may improve for this drop in trip. Dimitar's best effort to date came over 7f here last month, when touched off by just a head in handicap company off a mark of 70, and he warrants respect if running to a similar level of form here. Jim Bolger saddled a pair of big-priced winners here last Friday so his Misteireach cannot be left out of calculations with the benefit of a debut run behind her.

Cailin Coillteach showed her versatility when following up her C&D victory with a 7f success here last Friday and is expected to go well once again while evidently in rude health. Preference, however, is for NAOISE, who was third behind the first-named latest but reopposes on 6lb better terms and also had her beating on their previous 7f running here at the start of last month. Alvar and Red Army Blues look fairly treated on their best 6f form and are both handicapped to make their presence felt.

ELWAZEER was beaten by the draw when going down by just a head over 1m here last time but is taken to gain compensation, now first-time blinkers are fitted, in this smaller field and dropped back in trip. David Nagle's charge is a model of consistency and is proven over this 7f trip. Mountain Coral and McMonagle landed minor money over 6f latest and are both respected after small rises in the weights, however, the thriving Billyford, seeking a hat-trick under Johnny Murtagh, looks the main danger with C&D-winning form to his name.

ELUSIVE RIDGE has been running riot at this venue over the winter and completed a hat-trick when making all to land a similar C&D contest just before Christmas. Another small field looks ideal for the selection, should he opt to blast out of the gates and cut out all of the running once again. Not short of early speed himself, Duff is the potential fly in the ointment, although he has been ridden with more restraint of late and may be content to concede the lead. Vivacious Vivienne warrants respect at the weights and makes most appeal of the remainder.

Shake The Bucket won under this rider in a 1m4f handicap last month and, also proven over this shorter trip after his C&D success in October, should go well off 3lb higher. Nevertheless, preference is for ARAGORN ROUGE, who found 1m on the sharp side here last Friday and remains handicapped to win more races now reverting back to a more suitable trip. Gort Na Mona finally broke her maiden at the tenth attempt when scoring over C&D when last sighted and has place possibilities now eased 2lb ahead of her return to the handicap ranks.

HAIRSTYLE turned in a commendable effort in a muddling 1m4f handicap here two weeks ago and showed she is capable of running to her rating. A reproduction of that effort would probably suffice here, while the slight drop in help is an additional bonus, after she was headed inside the final furlong last time. Listed hurdles winner Jacksonslady blew away the cobwebs with a creditable 2m fourth last month and looks the main danger if the trip doesn't prove too sharp. Jim Bolger's Luan Cincise is returning from a long break and is worth a market stepped up markedly in trip.

A big run from Shake The Bucket earlier on the card would boost the claims of Saint By Day, who was third behind the first-named over C&D last month. Off the same mark, Michael Halford's representative is expected to give another good account, but preference is for CASIMIR ROAD, who went close over 1m in an apprentices' maiden last month and is expected to build upon that effort now switched to handicaps and upped to a more suitable trip. Word For Word and Ma Ani have been knocking on the door lately and are also considered.
