He’s a nice horse but has just had a little bit of a setback, though he will be ready to run in two or three weeks’ time. He was a little bit disappointing last time at Lingfield, but he may have just been in a good race.

He made a very promising start in a bumper the other day at Cheltenham. He definitely is a horse for the future, and his main target will be the Goffs bumper at Doncaster. It’s a race for horses that went through the Goffs Sales ring, and we will see how he comes along in the coming weeks to decide if he runs before then or not.

He ran at Plumpton and didn’t jump with the fluency we had hoped for. He had jumped brilliantly at Ascot previously until falling two out, and maybe that just dented his confidence a little, but he remains a very good horse and we will find the key to him over fences.

Black Gerry had a very good season last season but has paid the price for it with the handicapper. He was down to run at Sandown on Saturday but it was abandoned, so we will look for something else for him, and hopefully he can improve on what he did last time, though I still think he has too much weight.

He has done nothing wrong, and he didn’t get the run of the race in the Long Walk at Ascot but still ran very well. He is a nice horse, and hopefully he will continue to pay his way.

He nicked a very bad race at Fontwell the other day but couldn’t have done it any easier. Hopefully he is improving - he was far too keen before and, touch wood, he jumps very well and likes soft ground, which most of those Golden Horn's do. He is a good, fun horse.

Things didn’t work out as we hoped at Ascot the other day in the Gerry Feilden, and whether he runs on Winter Million Day at Lingfield or whether we go straight for the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury, I am not sure - but that will be his ultimate target.

He won well first time over fences at Newbury the other day, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with him. The handicapper has put him up 8lb, which isn’t the end of the world. He is a horse we like, and hopefully he can win again. When we bought him we always thought he was going to make into a chaser, and he looked good the other day.

Far surpassed those efforts when completing the hat-trick with a length-and-a-quarter defeat of Colonel Harry in the Grade 1 Henry VIII Novices’ Chase at Sandown (1m7½f) in December.

He has done nothing wrong in his three chases and could do nothing more than win. He was pretty impressive last time in the Henry VIII Novices’ Chase at Sandown, and he won’t run until February in the Scilly Isles.

He had a good season last year and is kind of paying for it now. Hopefully he will run in the Lanzarote Hurdle at Kempton - that is the plan for him.

Appears to have come of age this season and returned to winning form with an impressive five-and-a-half-length success from Wayfinder in the Coral Welsh National Trial Handicap at Chepstow (2m7½f) in December off a mark of 141, before returning to the same course for the Coral Welsh National (3m6½f) at the end of the month to follow up under a 4lb penalty with a 34-length victory from Iron Bridge.

Trainer says

It speaks for itself, but he has been a revelation this season and long may it continue. He has big targets ahead of him now, and whether he can fulfil them we don’t really know. It's not going to be easy. The ground and the blinkers have been the making of him, and hopefully he can continue to improve. He is in both the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Grand National, and he won’t run before then.

He is a horse who has sort of disappointed, and you won’t see him for a while. He came from France late in the year and we will give him a break now. They went too fast last time out.

He is a nice horse that we like, and he probably bumped into the best juvenile this year, apart from Burdett Road, when second to Sir Gino at Kempton over Christmas. He proved the point when hacking up at Ludlow last Friday, and hopefully he can continue to thrive.

He is a good, fun little horse, but he fell for the first time when favourite for a handicap hurdle at Plumpton on Sunday. He had scored well in a seller at Plumpton previously, and we had just waited for Sunday’s race.
