Wolverhampton Horse Racing Results

A host to all-weather flat action all year round, the Dunstall Park venue became the first British track to stage frequent evening meetings during winter months following the introduction of floodlights and an all-weather track in 1993. The two feature events are staged in early March. Run over an extended mile and open to four-year-olds and older, the Lincoln Trial is a valuable handicap with a prize of over 30,000 pounds to the winner.

On the same afternoon Wolverhampton stages the Lady Wulfruna Stakes, a Listed event run over seven furlongs and open to four-year-olds and upwards.

It is often said the emphasis on racing at Wolverhampton is quantity rather than quality, but some very useful horses have won at the course before going on to win on the international stage with the including Breeders’ Cup winners Conduit and Muhannak plus Classic runner-up Toast Of New York.
