Verdict

AMERICAN BAY gets just a tentative vote on the basis that his comeback run here 15 days ago was a performance full of promise. Not beaten far into third that day, he's entitled to have improved for the outing and could be difficult to stop with Billy Loughnane keeping the ride. Smooth Silesie has an absence to overcome but still requires attention and Beaumadier is interesting as well.

Expert View Verdict

AMERICAN BAY isn't the most reliable but he returned to form over C&D last time proving his ability on the AW and will be tough to stop if building on that. He is well treated on his best efforts and is chosen to defeat top weight Counsel who produced his best effort in 3 years when winning in December. His current mark asks more but he can fill the podium with the inconsistent Beaumadier who has been unsuited by a change of tactics recently but will be dangerous if allowed to dictate.
