Leopardstown - Thursday 4th June 2026
IBELIEVEICANFLY has a smart pedigree and appears to be her leading yard's first-string. By Frankel and a half-sister to a pair of smart colts in Yosemite Valley and Piz Badile, the selection is one of five runners to hold a notable entry in the Group 2 Airlie Stud Stakes later in the month. Stablemate Alpha is Alpha Centauri's third runner and the daughter of Sea The Stars could well be smart. Alpine Wedding is a full-sister to a Group 3 winner, while Carafinn and Blonde Over Blue are others to note.
MALLAVELLY was well held at Group 3 level in May, but can progress from that seasonal reappearance reverting to handicaps. A three-time winner, the selection is an able handicapper who finished third in a valuable race here last September, and is only 1lb higher than her last winning mark. Bella Isabella finished seventh behind the selection in September. She can improve from her own reappearance run last month, while Mehman is also noted.
ENDORSEMENT has set the pace in more competitive races on each of his last three starts and drops in grade. Third behind Derby contender James J Braddock here last time, that front-running performances was a smart effort, as he maintained a strong gallop when narrowly beaten over 1m2f. Stablemate Amadeus Mozart could feature but needs to improve to come out best. Yousaynothingatall edges out So Must I to be best of the rest, but still has plenty to find.
FLEUR DE PROVENCE has performed well twice to date and should be suited by stepping up in distance. Defeated by a smart type on debut and narrowly beaten at Gowran last month, the selection may have more to offer. Sprint-bred Bang Bang was significantly hampered when second here in April and while she now steps up in trip, the three-year-old looks capable of going well and holds Lake Bonney. Mawhibah is a half-sister to high-class sprinter Librisa Breeze but also has stamina in her pedigree.
The smartly-bred SWEET BABY ZOU looks capable of defying a penalty, having won on Monday. Her initial form was ordinary but having shaped well in her initial handicaps, scored readily at Gowran. She is 4lb well-in despite the penalty and is open to further progression. Monvoe has won twice recently and is another with strong claims. Red Autumn hasn't raced since finishing fourth in the prestigious Madrid Handicap in March, which was won by a subsequent Group 3 winner, and has winning form on good ground.
DIAMOND EXCHANGE is in top form and should again be competitive at her favourite course. Runner-up here in a maiden, the selection wasn't beaten far on handicap debut here in April and she reverted to good ground when scoring in May. She is 4lb higher but is by Wootton Bassett, so can progress further. Lough Leane is 6lb higher than when winning at Ballinrobe and is also without his then rider's 7lb claim, while Majestic King failed to defy a penalty at Ballinrobe but has been freshened up since.
CHIRAC won just an ordinary handicap in April but it is hoped he will continue to progress. A half-brother to four winners, the selection showed the benefit of stepping back up in trip when scoring at Gowran and while this is a stronger race, he should get involved at the business end. Two And Two hasn't been seen since running satisfactorily at the Curragh in March but that race was on heavy ground and the Dundalk scorer should be better suited by this going. Wicklow Gap didn't get a clear opening when running well at Roscommon last month and looks capable of winning from his rating.
Aidan O'Brien has dominated this in recent years and again looks to hold a strong hand with appealing newcomers IBELIEVEICANFLY and Alpha. The selection is the chosen mount of Ryan Moore and appeals plenty as a daughter of Frankel and being related to a pair of Listed/Group 3 winners. Alpha appeals loads on profile also being out of a top-class mare. She might benefit from 1m before long but could easily be up to the task on debut. Blonde Over Blue, trained by Joseph O'Brien, is another good-looking newcomer on profile.
Not that many convince in this handicap and it's the mare MALLAVELLY who appeals most. She should be more at home back in a handicap having made no impression in a Group 3 last time and is a former course scorer. Great Mover will be happier back at 7f having not appeared suited by 10f last time and can emerge as the danger, although the consistent Mehman should again be thereabouts and comes in as third choice.
Amadeus Mozart failed to fire last time and is well worth a shot at this 12f trip but it's stablemate ENDORSEMENT who stands out as the selection. He's got strong placed form at Group 3 level, running well in both the Ballysax and Derby Trial over 10f here already this season, as well as bustling up Pierre Bonnard at two. He shouldn't have any issue with the 12f trip and can prove too strong for Emmeleia, who was a Group 3 second herself last time and ought to relish the step up to 12f.
Not as competitive as the field size suggests, FLEUR DE PROVENCE rates the most likely winner having already run to a useful level in two starts at 1m and having potential for the step up to 10f now. Shanala shaped with promise on her Gowran Park debut and she can emerge as the danger granted improvement, though Bang Bang, an improved second last time, and Joseph O'Brien's newcomer Mawhibah, are others worthy of respect.
The top weight Red Autumn needs considering in this 3yo handicap, with the step up to 9f a probable plus, while the hat-trick seeking Monvoe is clearly a gelding on a roll and has course winning form. His new mark asks more again, though. Let's side with SWEET BABY ZOU instead, the filly having come good just the other day tried in cheekpieces and upped to 1m for the first time. She has more to offer still over this extra furlong and is taken to defy the penalty.
Coul Dreamer is given a chance at the ratings but his last run in a handicap didn't go well. Harana has only raced twice and definitely has a bigger effort in her, but dropping 3f in trip looks far from sure to suit. Sonoran has enough weight and is drawn wide, but runs this course well and is considered once again, but MAJESTIC KING rates the most likely winner and earns the vote. He's proven consistent and progressive since moving into handicaps and, although drawn a little high in stall 11, he holds sound claims.
Glamazon is respected on her Ballinrobe win from two starts back but needs to bounce back from a lesser run over further last time. She could, but CHIRAC seems a much safer selection, having shown improved form upped to 7f last time, winning with a bit in hand, and he might have even more to offer over this 1m trip. Wicklow Gap, a fair fourth in a first-time tongue-tie latest, and Almeiyda, who promises to be suited to the drop in trip now handicapping, are others to consider.
