Amathus justified favouritism when getting back to winning ways over 7f here last month and the nine-year-old commands plenty of respect from just 2lb higher. That said, the less-exposed DECALOGUE appears likely to have more to offer. Jamie Osborne's gelding has stepped forward on both of his handicap starts and further improvement may be on the cards with first-time cheekpieces applied. Sydney Rock heads the remainder.
TIORA TIME benefited from her debut third at Epsom when scoring at Doncaster in decent fashion at the start of the month and Tom Clover's filly makes plenty of appeal in her attempt to follow up. Flooding displayed signs of inexperience when runner-up at Newmarket and she is entitled to step forward, while All Angels' first start at Windsor wasn't without promise.
SERENETTA has a long way to go before living up to her pedigree, being a half-sister to Group 1 winners Bluestocking and Qirat, but Ralph Beckett's filly has already shown a fair amount of promise. Third at Newmarket on her debut, she got off the mark at Kempton next time and the experience already gained gives her the edge over newcomer Reformation, who does come from a decent family.
Indian Lights ran with credit on her first start when fourth at Newmarket, despite showing signs of greenness, and the booking of Ben Coen catches the eye. However, it is difficult to ignore the claims of SIENA STORM. Ed Walker's filly made a very promising start when fourth in a maiden at Glorious Goodwood, finishing ahead of Clarity (fifth) and Orchard Hatches (eighth), and she may be a tough nut to crack on that evidence.
A very competitive event on paper, with a whole host of these boasting strong credentials. Green Sky has Oisin Murphy aboard again after completing a quickfire hat-trick at Newbury last month and she is entitled to be in the mix, despite an 8lb rise. Liveinthelight made it three wins from four outings in handicap company at Leicester and has to enter calculations, but COUNTER INTUITIVE may have the most improvement to come. Ed Walker's filly has relished stepping up to 1m4f and can handle a 4lb rise from her handicap debut success at Newmarket.
SUPPLICATE continues to progress at a rapid rate of knots and the daughter of Ulysses is expected to land the four-timer. The step up to 1m2f has brought about plenty of improvement from Roger Varian's filly and she was always doing enough on her handicap bow at Nottingham. After a spell in juvenile hurdle contests, Sudbury Hill returned to the level with a battling success over C&D and is respected off a 3lb higher mark. Seven Sisters and Akho Mezzna, who drops in trip sporting blinkers for the first time, are feared most of the remainder.
SYDNEY ROCK can finally shed her maiden tag here. She does need to prove her stamina for this far but she saw out 7f well when runner up last time settling much better and looks well treated off an unchanged mark. Fellow maiden Decalogue was left with too much to do having missed the break last time but appears to be running into form in handicaps. He looks a big danger alongside veteran Amathus who continued his good course record last time and remains well treated on his old efforts despite a 2lb rise.
This could prove to be a match race between Flooding and TIORA TIME. There isn't much between them on ratings and with the former getting weight she's likely to prove popular especially as she looked green when runner up on debut. She is likely to improve on that run but it is hard to oppose the latter given Tom Clover's stunning recent form with his 2yos. Her debut form has been franked in a hot nursery and she will be suited by the fast surface stepping back up in trip so can defy a penalty. All Angels was too green to do herself justice first time out but ought to have learnt plenty from that and may do best of the remainder.
The form of SERENETTA's AW novice win isn't anything special but her debut placed effort has been franked emphatically so if she handles this quick ground she can defy a penalty. Reformation's dam was only narrowly denied on debut and his half-sister is a progressive miler. He represents a top stable so could pose a challenge and it will be interesting to see what the market thinks of him.
SIENA STORM was green early but finished well when the penny dropped on debut in a strong race at Goodwood. She's bred to relish this extra distance and is chosen to confirm last time out form with the more experienced Clarity who looks the stable first string on jockey bookings. Indian Lights rallied well on debut and has some stamina on her dam's side. Stepping up in distance she is open to plenty of improvement and should also be thereabouts.
Plenty arrive on the back of a string of victories including Green Sky who justified short odds when completing the hat trick over slightly further last time. She will enjoy the fast ground but will need to improve again to defy an 8lb rise in a much better race. Liveinthelight has been thriving in small fields recently and has only gone up 3lb for a game victory last time. She is respected in her hat trick bid but this is a much stronger contest so she will need another career best. Instead COUNTER INTUITIVE is picked to follow up on her pair of recent victories. She beat an unexposed rival last time and has a good draw from which to attack once more while her yard continues in excellent form.
This can be dominated by those at the top of the weights. SUPPLICATE was given a good ride when completing the hat trick last time but she beat a well backed rival and is only 4lb higher here. Her previous novice victory has been franked and with the quick surface in her favour once again she will be tough to beat. Seven Sisters is worth another chance in handicaps following a disappointing effort last time where she was poorly placed out wide at a sharp track after missing the break. She is on a dangerous mark judged on her maiden form and can chase the selection home ahead of consistent dual purpose performer Sudbury Hill who was a C&D winner last time.
