NEW PEARL should land the opener. Although failing to build on his debut success at Newmarket, there was no disgrace in finishing runner-up to Indian Jade in a conditions race at Pontefract next time (despite being sent off 1-6) and this is a whole lot easier than the task set in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot last week. Jubilee Games wasn't stopping over 5f at Musselburgh and can beat Southwell scorer Somethingboutmary to second spot.
New Pearl is given one more chance to get back to his impressive Newmarket debut form. Musselburgh scorer Jubilee Games is the obvious danger.

Tiger's Home has shown enough in both starts earlier this month to suggest that she can go close, but a chance is taken on the Richard Fahey-trained newcomer UNSINKABLE. This 75,000-euro purchase is certainly bred to have plenty of ability, being a half-brother to three winners including Listed scorer Heart Of Fire, and is sure to know his job on debut. The betting market should provide a good guide to his chances, as it may for Angels Calling and Vegas Belle.
Tiger's Home sets the standard, but it is hardly an exacting one and given that two of Unsinkable's trio of half-brothers won as juveniles he gets the nod to continue the family tradition and make a successful debut.

It could pay to side with the in-form PRINCE OF SORRENTO in what looks competitive handicap. He looked better than ever when chasing home subsequent Royal Ascot winner Fennell Bay at Sandown last time and a 6lb rise in the ratings may not be enough to stop him here. Memory Cloth didn't appear to get home over an extended 1m2f at Chester and can return to form now dropping back in trip, while Doncaster scorer Swiftly Done is another of note.

BOSTON BLUE looks versatile in terms of trip and ground conditions, and could deliver the goods today. Despite being off the bridle for much of the way at Brighton, he ran out a comfortable winner in the end (third has won since) and looks as though he can do some damage off this 5lb higher mark. Pokfulham flopped at York latest but was a nose away from completing a double previously and could bounce back with soft conditions no problem, while Rock Relief has been knocking on the door and should have his say again.
John Forbes took this corresponding race 12 months ago off an identical mark and a repeat victory is very possible, but last month's C&D scorer Pokfulham is just preferred. Boston Blue is another to consider.
