He will probably run in the two and a half Aintree Orrell Park Handicap Hurdle on Friday. He has been running well and unfortunately, we ran him at Sandown in atrocious ground and he hated it. He will like this a lot better and two and a half miles around Aintree will suit him well.

Probably at his best on his reappearance in the Grade 1 Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot when beating Thyme Hill a length and three quarters. Finished creditable fourth, beaten four lengths, to Flooring Porter in the Grade 1 Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle at Cheltenham (3m) on his latest start in March.

Trainer says

He runs in the Liverpool Hurdle on Saturday and my theory is that three miles is good for him, but I think he prefers Flat tracks to hilly ones. He looked very good when beating Thyme Hill in the Long Walk and Aintree gives me every opportunity to test my theory. He has been in good form at home since Cheltenham.

Dead heated with Not So Sleepy in the Grade 1 Fight Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle before gaining a clear cut two and a quarter length success from Glory And Fortune in the Grade 1 Christmas Hurdle at Kempton (2m) in December. Finished runner-up, beaten three and a half lengths, to Honeysuckle in the Grade 1 Unibet Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham (2m 1/2f) on her latest start in March.

Trainer says

She is in good form and obviously ran a great race in the Champion Hurdle. JP said if she won the Fighting Fifth and Christmas Hurdle then she would have done more than enough, and she obviously ran as well as ever in the Champion Hurdle. This is her first try over two and a half and she is not guaranteed to stay but it’s worth a try on a sharp track. I couldn’t be happier with her form at home.

Progressive mare who won a mares’ novices’ handicap chase at Warwick (2m 4f) in January (beating Ballinsker six lengths off a mark of 120) and followed up in a similar event at Bangor (2m 4 1/2f) in February (beating Belle De Maneche five and a half lengths off a mark of 129). Took a further step forward when third, beaten seven and a half lengths, to Pic D’Orhy in the Grade 2 Pendil Novices at Kempton (2m 4 1/2f) in February.

Trainer says

The intention is to run in the Topham. She is still a novice over fences but is improving all the time and deserves to take her chance. She jumps really well, and I expect her to run well.

Fils D’Oudairies will probably run in the two and a half miles in the Aintree Orrell Park Handicap Hurdle on Friday. He is also entered in the three-mile handicap hurdle on Saturday, but the Friday race looks the more likely. We were delighted with his first run for us at Ascot and hope he can build on that.

First Street runs in the two-mile novices’ hurdle, and he is probably going to have to take on Jonbon. I think that is the way it will pan out. He ran an excellent race in the County Hurdle against a ridiculously handicapped horse and he will probably run in the Top Novices'.

He runs in the Lydiate Handicap Hurdle. He hasn’t run for a while but was still in with every chance when taking a heavy fall at Ffos Las last April. He ran well on his first run for us when third to Metier at Ascot in November but is obviously coming back from a long absence.

Well beaten seventh in the Adonis Hurdle at Kempton (2m) in February but had previously quickened up nicely to beat Innatendue four lengths in the Scottish Triumph Hurdle at Musselburgh (1m 7 1/2f) earlier that month.

Trainer says

He runs in the Anniversary 4-y-o Hurdle and we have kept him for this. He likes flat sharp courses, so we stayed out of Cheltenham and waited for this. Ideally, he wants good fast ground but he’s in good form and we are hoping for a good run from him.

Janika runs in the Topham Chase and actually ran very well in it in 2019. He has a dropped a long way down the handicap and we would be hopeful of a good run.

Winner of his first three races over hurdles and gained a Grade 2 victory when completing his hat trick with a three-length defeat of Richmond Lake at Haydock (1m 7 1/2f) in January.

Trainer says

He has come out of Cheltenham very well and he is very fresh and sharp. I would think he will run in the two-miler. Without Constitution Hill he would have won all four races over hurdles, and he is a lovely horse with a bright future. He is learning all the time and would appear to have a bright chance in the Top Novices’ Hurdle although entered him in the Mersey Novices’ on Friday.

He runs and he is still a novice over fences but the intention is for him to run in the Topham. He has run some tremendous races in defeat this season and certainly deserves to get his head in front.

He runs in the Melling Chase on Friday He kept out of Cheltenham as a result of the desperate ground on the Wednesday and we have kept him fresh for this. He is a very good horse on his day and just needs everything to click right for him.

He will run in the bumper on Saturday, and he has been running in all-weather bumpers as there was a £40,000 race and we ran him in that. We thought we would have a chance.

Trainer says

I expect he will run in two and a half unless Jonbon runs in it. I also have him in the three-mile novice just in case it suddenly seemed right to run Jonbon over two and a half and split them all up, but I suspect Jonbon will stay over two miles for now. He is an exciting prospect and his dam stayed extremely well so we wouldn’t be concerned about the trip.
