SAPPHIRE SIROCCO shaped with promise when third over a trip shorter than ideal on her stable bow at Chepstow and it might be best to stick with her now upped considerably in distance. Corsican Caper won over hurdles at Uttoxeter latest and is respected back in this sphere, whilst Everest wouldn't appear to have a mountain to climb in order to figure.

Naval Cop and Fillipas both warrant close inspection ahead of their racecourse debuts given their connections, but the superior experience of HAVANA SPRITE could be the difference. James Tate's filly finished a pleasing fourth on her introduction at Newmarket before filling the runner-up spot at Yarmouth next time and with further improvement anticipated, she is fancied to shed the maiden tag.

A few to consider including the likes of recent course winner Legendsoftheland and Son Of Astar. Darkened Edge isn't out of this, especially from her low draw, but the vote goes to HARRY MOLE. Steph Hollinshead's unexposed gelding went within a neck of breaking his duck at Thirsk last time and any further improvement could see him get his nose in front.

Secret Harvest surprised a few when only beaten a short-head at odds of 50/1 on her debut at Leicester, but she can prove that was no fluke by going close again. Even so, the vote goes to VELVET GOLDMINE. Ed Walker's charge paid the price for keenness when weakening late on at Newbury and she is expected to progress. Newcomer Dark Angel Light is also noted.

BASILETTE is consistent on the Flat and, having comfortably had Virtual Hug back in fourth when she won over C&D on her penultimate outing, there is plenty to like. Her latest start can be forgiven as she broke awkwardly and wasn't disgraced in finishing third. Reverting to this trip should be beneficial. Blue Hero, who is a nine-time winner here, and the still unexposed Onlyriversrunfree are others to consider.

SWIPED went agonisingly close on his handicap debut at Salisbury and should be a key player with this representing a drop in class. As a half-brother to three winners over a mile, stepping up a furlong shouldn't be an issue for this son of Too Darn Hot, especially if the retained blinkers continue to draw improvement. Bird Of War, Musical Soldier and Bosom Pals are others with feasible chances.

Dappled Light commands respect after a game C&D win last month and the six-year-old commands plenty of respect off a 4lb higher mark. However, THAPA VC is a fellow dual track-and-trip winner that has plenty going for him on these terms. With Jack Callan claiming 3lb from the saddle, the durable eight-year-old is a slightly more attractive proposition. King Of Speed completes the shortlist.

NAMMOS made a winning start for John & Rhys Flint in a similar event over C&D last month, before posting another bold showing to fill the runner-up berth back here 18 days ago. Still feasibly treated off just 3lb higher, this should still be within her compass. Galactic Glow, Danehill Star and Revich are other strong contenders at this level and are expected to be in the shake-up.
