KIM BAILEY’s season has only really got under way in earnest recently but with six winners from his last 26 runners he clearly has his Thorndale Farm team heading very much in the right direction.
The star of the show so far has been the classy Vinndication who bossed his rivals when justifying strong favouritism in the Grade 3 Sodexo Gold Cup at Ascot recently.
The Andoversford stable's flagbearer has very much shown a liking for going right handed and has earned a tentative King George VI Chase entry but Bailey could take in a valuable handicap chase back at Ascot in December and could even summon up Vinndication to go the other way round in the Many Clouds at Aintree.
Charbel has been a major contributor over the past few seasons and his attempt at a second Peterborough Chase will be determined by home reports after a below par effort in the Haldon Gold Cup.
The Thorndale Farm outfit have a deluge of young untested talent waiting to take flight in the coming weeks and months and Kim kindly spoke to Tony Elves of ATR about those who can carry his team forward in the years to come.
